Probably the most Biblically consistent point of view I've ever heard on Yahoo Answers. Intelligent and well put.

Contrary to your thinking....the Bibe is vetry accurate and reliable. While not a book of Science, it is scientific because it is true.
The creation is an excellent case in point. Creationists stupidly teach that God created everything in 6 literal 24 hour earth days. Just because the Bible uses the term "day" does not mean 24 hour earth day, (1Pet3:8).
If you were to say: "In my Granfather's "day" they drove model A Fords". I would know that you were not talking about a 24 hour period, but instead you are talking about the period of time long ago when your Grandfather was young.
The Genesis account, and the language of the Bible allows for the use of the term "Day" in that very way. The term day can mean "age" or "era" or "epoch". In fact look at the context in Genesis 2:4. In that location clearly day does not mean a 24 hour period.
A very important proof of this is that the 6 creative days came to an end....but NOT the 7th "day" on which God "rested". The apostle Paul indicated in his writings that the 7th day had not ended. Clearly the 7th day is way longer than 24 hours.
The fact of the matter is that each of the creative days could have lasted hundreds of thousands or even millions of years.
Now consider the physical evidence. The scientists dig down through layer upon layer only to find that the various layers MATCH the description of the epochs or days of creation found in Genesis. Life also depends on the photosynthesis of plants and the chloroplasts which result. These proccesses took lots of time to produce the benefits to man and animal life which would come later. BUT...the existance of processes which take a lot of time, does not translate as "evolution". Those processes (such as photosynthesis) can be designed created and implemented by a supernatural all powerful creator.
The fact is that if "creationists" had argued in harmony with the Bible instead of insisting that creation was only 6 literal days long only about 6,000 years ago....then perhaps the true creation account could be taught or at least stated in the public school ciriculums.

That is the basis more or less of Intelligent Design theory of how things came to be. It has been ruled by courts that it is not science and there fore can not be taught in schools. As a scientist of over 50 years I keep asking the questions How? and Why? sometimes we come up with answers sometimes we do not. But even when we do it leads to more How? and Why? questions. Many stop way to short and give us way to much credit for what we have learned and know now. We do not know very much compared with what there is still to learn. A little knowledge makes some feel very smart and powerful....for me, a life long learner, the more I learn the more questions I have and the more I realize I do not know. I do not close the door to anything, that is the realm of the young who are yet to learn they do not have all the answers.

As I read the Bible Genesis says God said "let the waters bring forth fish ,after there kind, let the Sky's bring forth birds ,after there kind, etc, etc,.The first books of the Bible the creation story, I do
believe God set evolution into place, but not for humans Adam was made a man who walked and talked.every thing else God said let" them "bring forth after there kind. This could also explain that tricky old missing link.

The term for what you are describing is theistic evolution.
I am a scientist, not a theist, and have seen nothing to support any divine intervention in evolution. Most critically, I know that absence of proof is not proof of absence. Theistic evolution is a matter of faith.

God did it...and we will not know how untill he decides to tell us.... as to The Bible... there is nothing in The Bible of The True Christian Faith for the non-believer. The Bible is not for any who is not led by The Holy Spirit in their study.
The Bible is only for those of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Nothing in The Bible applies to those not of The Church.

the only element on the subject of theory and nature is that i think nature will proceed. And nature could substitute. whether we injury the ecosystem it is going to bring about our civilization's fall down and our deaths. Then the earth can bypass on, readjust it is climate and characteristic creatures evolve which would be used to that climate. Nature is only between the continued forces interior the universe. what's to believe in?

You are confused. I am sure others are confused too...so some may believe this. The truth of the matter is that this is not following God. THis is not following the Christian faith. God warns us about this thinking, "Not all that come in my name shall be so". He warns us about falling for this type of thinking. This is the deciet of Satan..he has distorted your thinking. Faith! Faith! Faith in the word, the truth and in God.
