Since most of us have no interest in or need of a Christ I was wondering what Christmas should be renamed to. Some suggestions might be:

Santamas

Spend-Wad-O-Money-mas

Shopping-hysteria-mas

Creditcardmas

GeorgeBushmas

Shop-o-rama-mas

Recognizing the satire might I suggest...

I forgot the reason for the season mas
Grinchmas
Scroogemas

Being a heathen I actually celebrate:
Peace on Earth and Goodwill Toward Man Day

I think those hating on your question don't take note of things like people camping out for three days to get a Playstation 3. The holiday is way too commercialized.

If you have no interest in Christ then why do you celebrate a holiday that is associated with him? Please don't give me that Christmas is actually a pagan holiday because it might have been in the past but everyone and their mother knows that we now celebrate Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ.(and yes I know that Jesus wasn't actually born in December) Oh, and by the way, if you you claim that you do celebrate it for the pagan holiday then why do you exchange gifts? Shouldn't you be doing some kind of ritual that isn't anything like the holiday that Christians celebrate?

CHRISTMAS is the one day wars stop for.
CHRISTMAS is the season people forget themselves and think of others.
CHRISTMAS is a time for bonding, for remembering, for uniting with our inner selves and our family, friends and peers.

CHRISTMAS just IS.

Think about this:

There's not a country in the world that does not know about or has not heard of CHRISTMAS.

There's not culture in the world that does not recognize (positively or negatively) CHRISTMAS.

There's not a religion in the world that does not accept or defy the power of CHRISTMAS.

Being as such, don't you think CHRISTMAS' name should be left alone? I think so, too. (smile)

Keep your cash in the bank, turn off the holiday repast cooking on the stove, and try to hide from the spirit of the season if you can, but...

CHRISTMAS IS COMING AGAIN SOON!

This was an interesting, fun question. Thanks for posing it.

Happy Holidays to you and yours!

What you're doing is ridiculing those who want to make Christmas a non-religious holiday, but you're not going about it in the right way. Christmas means Christ's mass. Mass is a church service, so if you want to take religion out, you can't leave the mass in .
I'm non-religious, but I'd suggest the name Christmas.

CHRISTMAS it is the celebration of the birth of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Since it has been commercialized so many forget what the holiday is about! Christmas shall always be Christmas no matter what happens even if the liberals decide it is not politically correct it will always be celebrated by Christians as Christmas. Nuff Said!

First of all someone else gave me the nickname billy and called me that ever since.
Everyone got to admit that some people want to change the name of Christmas to something else. The examples you gave are just horrible to the max. I can't think of one Holiday that actually says what you do on that day. Like Easter you don't call it hunt for eggs made of chocolate day. the examples should be more religion related.

and out of the ones you have there I'd say Santamas but I'd like to use one of his other names

As far as I'm concerned in the western world it's called Christmas, and for those that do not like it tuff shi-t it's our tradition and I personally will not change it just to suit some one Else's beliefs.
