I'm not actaully in a relationship with her, but I think she might be afraid to start one if I am so religious, I know that that's part of my packedge and that she should like all of me, I mean I'd like to help her but how do you handle a relationship where one of teh people isn't what you are? I know religion is a big part of who I am, but I think Love is love. Anyone in a similar situation or have advice. Myt goal isn't to convert her or anything, just make it possible to get to know each other without that being a factor. Please help me if you have any advice.

If you answer is yes, that is like equating Adolf hitler to a child stealing a pack of gum. Logically you would think God is truly unfair.

They wrote Left Behind.

Now they're writing about early Christianity.

I'm sure these books will at least be less provocative (they can't stereotype modern "unbelievers") and a bit more factual.

What do y'all think?

I'm writing a paper about gay marriage. I know in Corinthians it says marriage is between a man and a woman, but where does the Bible say homosexuality is a sin?

...why does the religious right keep taking scriptures written specifically for the Levitical Priesthood and applying them to modern man? Why do they ignore the fact that when Paul gave us Romans 1:26-27, he was referring to temple prostitution and not romantic relationships? Why did Jesus never utter one word about homosexuality, but talked a lot about adultery within marriage? Why does the Bible specifically refer to the apostle John as "the apostle that Jesus loved" but never attributes this affection to any of the other apostles? Why did God tell Adam and Eve to "replenish" the earth if it had never been previously populated? Go figure.

you never see athiests saying theyre the best on the street so why do these preachers bother...i don't think it can work that well and they really must offend people (homosexuals, people of other religions etc)

Sidewalk preaching should be banned.

Alright, let me start off by saying I'm not an atheist or a believer, I'm kinda stuck in the middle I guess. I went to church when I was younger, was raised in a very Christian home, but as I got older, I began to have doubts about the whole God thing. I guess I don't understand how, if God created the whole Earth, why do people believe in different Gods? I mean, if he created all of us, how did Buddha and all them other things come to be? Why is God only worshipped in certain places? I have read the Bible, and all I really remember is "to live in fear of God" which makes it sound like all of this religon stuff is just to scare us into being good. I live my day to day life thinking of God, you know, if I do this, is it wrong? Or will I go to hell for doing this? stuff like that, but in the back of my mind I don't think there is a God. I just want to know if anybody else thinks like this. I mean, if anything good happens to me, I take it as a blessing from God, if something bad happens,

I don't really see the difference, no offense, but it just seems that suddenly accepting 'one way' doctrines or else is on the same level of close-minded brainwashing. Could you somehow persuade me this is not the case without giving me copy/pasted bible quotations that I've already read and within this point explained to be part of the brainwashing?
