Agnosticism means believing that the life of God or gods is unknowable through the concepts of guy and/or lady. it fairly is the definition. maximum Atheists are if truth be told Agnostics who have self assurance there is no data for the life of God and, lacking data, it can be assumed there is no God. (And IMO this makes ideal experience because it isn't plausible to educate a adverse, yet very plausible to educate a good, so if there's a God, there could be data obtainable.) OTOH there are a range of Christians who're also technically Agnostics because they have self assurance it can all be taken on faith, which isn't data, no count number what some would want to have self assurance. and there is not some thing wishy washy about Agnosticism. that's a well-liked, very agency conception that the data isn't obtainable.

Etymologically speaking, "gnosis" is Greek for "knowledge". The stem "a-" is negative. So literally, it means: "not knowing". An agnostic doubts the existence of God but is open to the possibility.

an agnostic is not someone who isn't "sure" whether or not there is a god, an agnostic is someone who thinks it's impossible to know whether or not there is a god, big difference

to put it simply an Agnostic believes that God exists but seriously doubts His williness or ability to come to the aid of mankind, and supposes that God has lost His power.

It means only the belief in a higher power..not necessarily the God of the Bible or Koran, just the possibility that there may be or may not be a higher power.
It's basically faith in a possibility of an almighty God, not the confession that one does exist

That's a person who believes that the existence of God is unknown and not knowable. Not an atheist though.
