God gave us all free will, tha is if you believe in God. Nontheless he gave us Free Will, but the only time Free Will is used, it is when a sin will be commited. You only have two choices, Obey or Do what you want and suffer for eternity. If a person does not kill someone because of the commandments that God bestowed upon Moses, then one is not practicing free will, but meerely Obeying or becoming Submissive. If one does kill then he is going against God and not Obeying, which people would claim he is using his Free Will. Therefor Free Will is sin, and to not sin is to be submissive.

I think the point is that you can CHOOSE either one. CHOOSE to obey or CHOOSE to burn in Hell forever. Not really a choice, though, when you consider the options, is it?

This is an over used argument. "If I only have two choices, then I dont really have a choice". Wrong. Choosing between 2 things, or 100 things, there is still a choice to be made.
The free will is to either make the choice and obey, or make the choice and disobey. Free will at work is making the choice itself. It is what you choose, or choose not to do that is the sin, it is the choice that is free will. Completley different things.

The error in your argument is where you say that a person cannot choose to do what God commands. That is in error. When you parents told you to sit and eat your peas you had a choice,,, free will. You could choose to get up and run out to play and thereby get grounded to your room for an "eternity" or you could choose to do what you were told and reap the benefits of your parents good pleasure.
In either case you can excercise your free will. Choices always have benefits and consequences. It is up to you and your excercise of your free will that determines whehter you are blessed or cursed.

Actually the law or what you would call the commandments given to moses was a guideline for our lives to show us than not one of us could keep every letter of the law. I wouldn't say free will is a sin, say for example you chose to max out your credit card...that isn't a sin, you did it by free will though. The law actually does not say thou shalt not kill it actually says thou shalt not murder. See the difference it is what is in your heart, killing can be an act of protecting, murder is done with selfish intentions

We have free will... but it is also a will tinged with evil...
we have free will but just as a criminal will freely run away from a cop we run from God
the solution... by grace God changed the heart and inclines the heart to freely choose and enjoy Him

Freedom is not the ability to do whatever you want to do that's licence. Freedom is the ability to do what you ought to do. No one
has the right to choose evil and yes I know we do it all the time, but morally we do not have that right. Freedom has limits which are set by Gods wisdom.

the commandments of course are good moral guidelines ...
but i do worry that people " need " these guidelines in place in order to be moral
that is why we were given free will and a conscience
free will is not the sin ... it is the gift
relying on guidelines in order to behave ..... should be the ultimate sin

If you keep living for your own freewill...YES! God allows us to live for ourselves...if we choose. Or you can hand over your freewill to Christ and accept Gods plan for your life. You can choose to walk in the spirit and choose life over death!

The free will that he gave us is to follow him or not.
There is no Bill of Rights when it comes to your relationship with God, it's black and white.
Is you is, or is you ain't, my baby?

no that is why God gave it to us, but if we choose to do something that is wrong then it is a sin.
