Normally in the bible, it is because of the faith of someone else. Could the Christain faith survive if Saul persisted?

I am a Christian. I've never owned a slave. I try very hard to be kind to everyone I meet. I've never been on a 'Crusade'. I have never gone into someone's home and killed them 'for Christ'. A lot of people profess to be Christians and say they are doing things in Jesus' name, but the evidence of their actions indicates that they are NOT following Jesus. There are bad apples in every group - there are those who profess to love God but their actions prove that they don't even have an inkling of Who God is. I guess I just want to know why people think that Christians are the cause of all evil.

for all non believers, if you seen someone come back form the dead and tell you there is a heaven and a hell would you believe him?,,,,,,why or why not? one did come back from the dead , , his name is Jesus, Why then do you not believe him?

and again i ask another question, if God him self came down and told us that Jesus is the son of God , would you believe Him?,,,,,,,,he did come down and tell us 2 different times, and is documented in the bible, many people saw and heard it, ,,,once at the mont of viguration and again when jesus became babtised,,,, so i dont know if you realize it but we will be without excuse when we stand in Gods presence,,,, and no you wont tell Hod anything, ,,the bible says your tounge will cleave to the roof of your mouth and your knees will smote together, not one word will you be able to speek at that time,,,,, so better do what we need to do now,,,dont you think?

Christians today claim that they are sinners saved by grace and God loves them and God loves the sinner and not the ---. When I rea in Genesis 18:20 It seemes like God destroyed both the sinner and ---. Because the sinners is around to produce the ---. If there wheren't any sinners there would be no ---. Genesis 18:20 "And the ord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorah is great, and because their --- is very grevious." Now after the cross how much more will God do to you when you don't obey the bible. Sinning is not obey God's word it is obeying darkness the devil.

I have been doing some reading and soul searching of late and i am confused. The ten commandments say 1.I am a jealous God and you shall have no other Gods before me (basically). Jesus says that only through him can i get to God and heaven. Questions: Is Jesus speaking figuritively or do i really have to use his name in my prayers? Does bringing Jesus`s name into my prayers and including Jesus along with God almighty break the first commandment? I have always been of the opinion that i should only pray to God and give him all my heart. To bring in the names of saints or even Jesus seems to go against the 1st commandment. But...from what i have been reading it seems i may be making a mistake. God is everything to me and this is troubling me as i wish to do things right and not dishonor God or Jesus. Please read this carefully and answer all the questions as clearly and plainly as possible. This is very important to me. Thanks for your time in advance and Peace to you all.

The UK has passed the Equality Act 2006 but it has yet to become law. It's definitions are interesting:

(a) “religion” means any religion,
(b) “belief” means any religious or philosophical belief,
(c) a reference to religion includes a reference to lack of religion, and
(d) a reference to belief includes a reference to lack of belief.

This is a definition that is broad enough to cover atheism, “mainstream” religions and also cranks, cults, Satanists, warlocks and believers in the second coming of Elvis. It also would seem to cover Atheists.

The law specifically covers service providers.

It would appear that if censorship by use of violation reports continues for the wrong reasons and Yahoo does not appy their own rule 10 then they will be committing a criminal offence!!

Don't you think both sides of the religious devide would be far better off if Yahoo applied rule 10 properly or if failling to do so were actually reported for violation of the Act?

I was just thinking. Organized rellgion is such a huge part of society today and it has been for years and years. We join a religion and suddenly whatever that religion says is what we must believe. But, there are many religions, all with different beliefs. Why is this? and who should we really believe? Imagine a time when there was no organized religion, no bible, no saints, no prophets, no churches, nothing. People had to decide for themselves their ideas about God. No one was telling them what to believe and that that was the only way to believe. I think that organized religion has taken us so far away from God, that we don't even know what God originally intended for us. What makes us so sure that God would be against stem cell research or homosexuality. Because that's what our church tells us? What about what we believe? I guess without organized rellgion many people would be lost. I think, however that we would be closer to God than we ever were before.

It is easy to spot a Muslim, well a Muslim women, sometimes a Muslim man if he has a beard or is wearing cultural clothing they wear in Muslim countries. But what sets a Christian apart by looks. When I used to practice no one knew I was a Christian unless I said I was. Here in Egypt the Christians try and make it clear they are Christian. Most of them have a cross tattooed on their wrist or hand. And alot of the women wear cross necklaces.

Does anyone have problems with the idea of people creating their own religions? Not as in making up a God and a holy book, more spirituality - following certain rules theyve chosen for their own life, doing things that make them feel spiritual. Or for you, does it need to be part of a larger religion?

When I Come Home To Heaven

When I come home to Heaven
How joyful it will be!
For on that day at last
My risen Lord I’ll see.

No greater happiness than
To see Him face to face,
To see the love in His eyes
And feel His warm embrace.

I’ve done nothing to deserve
That perfect home above.
It was given freely through
The grace of Jesus” love.

Then why should early cares
Weigh down upon me so?
They’ll be a distant memory
When home at last I go.

Jehovah's Witnesses say no and quote both Matthew 5:27-28 and Exodus 20:14 (the Seventh Commandment). Illogical? Yes, because the Seventh Commandment constitutes the rule of law against the premeditated crime of adultery perpetrated by humans. Moreover, the Ten Commandments comprise the law of God; a law that is LOVE; and, the fulfilling of which is LOVE. By contrast, the Seventh Commandment is entirely different and seperate from Matthew 5, which refers to the physical law of divorce. According to Deut. 24:1, divorce comes from a CODE of physical laws known as the works of the law; whereas, the Ten Commandments are spiritual. (Romans 7:14) That being said, Matthew 5, merely shows the spiritual intent of the law against Adultery. Question: do I speak the truth?

We must know that the Bible can not be trusted. Let us look at what the Theologians and Historians of the NIV Bible wrote about the Book of Song of Songs:

* Please be advised that the Bibliography of the NIV Bible that I used is listed at the end of this article. I used the latest version of the NIV Bible.

About the book of Song of Songs: "Verse 1 appears to ascribe authorship to Solomon. Solomon is referred to seven times, and several verses speak of the 'king', but whether he was the author remains an open question. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 997)"

As we clearly see, no one knows who wrote the porn-full book of Song of Songs. How can you claim that the books were indeed all revealed by GOD Almighty? If you're not sure, and you still insist on your claim, then you are committing a crime against GOD Almighty's Revelations.

The NIV Bible Theologians and Historians also commented on other books of the Bible to be corrupted by the scribes:

"...portions of the book were probably added by scribes or editors from later periods of Israel's history... (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 183)"

The Jewish scribes had very badly corrupted the Bible and turned it into a big lie. That is why GOD Almighty said:

"`How can you say, "We [the Jews] are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?' (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"

"How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us'? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. (From the RSV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"

In either translation above, we clearly see that the Bible has too many narrated stories and man-made cultural laws that were inserted into it that were not Divine Revelations from GOD Almighty
It's quite obvious that the Bible is more like a man made cultural book than a divine book that is meant to be for all times and all places. Anyway, the Bible was not even written by its original authors. That is why you see things such as "And Moses went up to the mountain...." instead of "And I [Moses] went up to the mountain....", or "And Jesus said to Matthew...." instead of "And Jesus said to me [Matthew]...." Most of the Books and Gospels of the Bible were written by third party people that were not even chosen by GOD, which makes the Bible just a cultural history book rather than a divine book from GOD Almighty.
