I have all but quit going to church. People have made me quit going not God. I thank God daily for all the things he has given me and pray. I still believe in the power of prayer. People have just made me stop going. Sometimes I find the most hateful mean people are the ones at church. But, there are those people at church who are really good decent people but the mean ones are the ones who drive others away.

worship is only a part of what it means to "go to church." there is also the preaching and teaching of the Word and fellowship of the saints. that is why i think it is important to go to church at least once a week on Sunday.
worshipping should be done at home all the time anyway.
but i actually went to church on Saturday

I worship ''in my own way'' at home....by praying. I dont think it is, at all necessary to go to church in order to defend your belief in God. Especially when your surrounded by people who are ''false believers'' if you will...who are just going to walk out of the church and go prostitute or sell drugs lol (well atleast around where I live).... if you have a relationship with God, it exist no matter where you are and/or how you praise Him.

I worshipped God's way, rather than selfishly trying to do it my way, by not forsaking the assembling together with other Christians. There is a power present when two or more are gathered in His Name that you can not get on your own. Plus it is hard to fulfill the commandments to "love others", "serve others", "bear one anothers burdens", "encourage one another", etc, when you are by yourself. That is what makes no attending church selfish and wrong.

I didn't go to church today because I have the flu. I'm honoring my Father by posting Scriptures here to edify the Saints and warn the sinners in Jesus' name, Amen! :o)
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

I drank a pot of coffee, played with my pooch, watched the Elton John interview on "Inside the Actors Studio", and put a pork roast in the slow cooker. No church. Just real life.

I worship at home. I find that it is more personal for me and helps me too connect better than sitting in a pew and falling asleep. Peace.

I went to Church this evening. I believe it's important to thank the Lawd for all our blessings and pray for a good week. Plus, they were having a fundraiser and that's where I got the delicious pecans. âº
