Very good question. This might be the best RnS question i have seen in weeks.
I struggle with this myself, but one thing you can do is simply try learn new things and try new things. Nothing is more humbling than realizing that the world has more to offer than you thought before and a great way to realize this is to look for new things you have never done or to try to learn about things you have very little knowledge about. Even watching a new TV show you never saw before or listening to a new piece of music can help.

Meditation, visualisation... General thinking, also, I guess.
I'm not so sure about ego reduction - think about how other people are like you, put yourself in their shoes. Try to be nice to someone every day.
