My favorite biblical verse is from the Holy Book Of Ezekiel:

Eze 23:47 They will stone you to death and cut you to pieces; they will kill your children and burn down your houses.

makes me want to give charity and help the poor =)

I was referring to God. God is an imaginary friend, was created only because in a past people couldn't explain things like wind son earthquake and more. Now Scientists explained a lot of things, and from 12 or more gods there is only one left Wow. Do you axially think that he or she or what ever exist Plzzzzzzzzzzz. Get real.

war to kill and be killed when God's word says His people would learn war no more in Isaiah and Micah? This has application even in our day as well for Jesus said to love your enemies and pray for then, not to go and kill them. God's word says obedience is better than sacrifice, so why do you not obey Him? Titus 1:16 says: They publicly declare they know God, but they disown Him by their works, because they are detestable and DISOBEDIENT and NOT APPROVED for good work of any sort. Why do your priests and clergy bless the war machines of their nations? Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.

I must confess, there was no way he could have put all of those animals on that one dinky craft--it was so sad, he was praying and crying and terrified that that horrible god person would smite him, I just couldn't bear it! So I rattled off a little incantation "Weeping man now dry your eyes animals shrink to a convenient size, wherever you roam far or near, here my call and all come here" and at once the ark was filled with cute little diminutive animals, and everything was fine--I never intended to cause such a great mystery that people would be pondering for centuries--I thought I was doing him a favor--wasn't that nice of me?

I just saw it last night and I thought Mandy Moore should have won an Oscar for her role; she was great! And her hair was divine---it was like a mix of midwestern chic and self-righteous glamour...

This question is for those who answered yes to the question "are you a 100% sure God exists?"

I decided to put the real question first, just to make it harder for religious people to duck it again, as they often do.

My point is: only absolute Beings can know absolutes. And in case you think God can do it for you, make you know absolutes, remember that he would have to make you a God yourself.

People who say they are absolute sure of anything are putting themselves in God's place for in order present yourself as humam, you have to acknowledge limitations.

I have made several prayer requests (check my profile) for my close friend April, who has been in the hospital for more than 4 months. She was in a coma for over a month, after her cowardly ex b/f gave her a severe concussion.

Doctors weren't sure she would ever come out of coma and they claimed she had 65% permanent brain damage, with very little chance of any significant recovery.

I found this very difficult to accept, as April certainly didn't deserve to suffer so much at such a young age (23). I prayed that God would help April fully regain her health, and I had faith that she would be healed.

For those who have offered their prayers & kind words to my previous requests, you have my sincere thanks ...... April came out of her coma about a month ago, and she is showing steady improvement as time passes. She is now able to recognize close friends & communicate with them : )

I am making a gift for my boyfriend, i am taking a quote that he enjoys from the bible and putting it on paper and decorating and framing it.. the quote is Matthew 4:4. the entire line reads,
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God'"
now if i wanted to use this for the purpose that i am, would you suggest writing the entire line, or where would you have it start? i just want it to sound and be right.

If god is omniscient then he already knows what is going to happen meaning that it has already been decide meaning you can't choose meaning you don't have free will meaning theists can't say "oh god gave us free will and we messed up the world".

when i read it, it sounds to me like it is a prayer.
i've heard tho it's more of asking mary to talk to God. i've always believed that even after we go to heaven we will still be worshiping in heaven. and a part of worshiping God is prayer. am i right, if i'm half-right or wrong can you bring me up to speed?

Passover is the holiday where thanks is given to God for passing over our decendants house that night. thanks is given becuz if God hadn't passed over our house we wouldn't be here now.

Yom Kipper is the holiday where you fast and ask repentence for your sins for the current year. it doesn't mean that you only ask for forgiveness once a year, it's a holiday to remind us to ask for forgiveness all the days of the year.
as a Catholic, would i still be able to celebrate these holidays.

From the prophet Ezekiel. God said to Ezekiel this concerning Isreal and it's sin against God.

God has always loved Isreal and still does. Isreals existence is a testimony that God himself is real. But If God punished Isreal his own chosen people what makes you think that America with its great sins will still receive blessings?

I'm neither Republican or Democrate but when you have politics voting to remove the Bible out of schools, To remove the ten commands from goverment property, Support porn and sexual content, Slander each other, Take bribes, and Help the wicked prosper over the righteous. Then what is one to think?

For Christians only what do you think about America? I think there is a possiblity that America will lose it's power. It will only have its self to blaim. If America does stand then I think it is only because God still has a use for it(Perhaps to help Isreal in the battle of Armaggedon?) What are your views?

1 Samuel 15:3 God commands the death of helpless "suckling" infants. This literally means that the children god killed were still nursing.

Psalms 135:8 & 136:10 Here god is praised for slaughtering little babies.
