Hello Hugo.. :)

No..Jesus told us we are to Love our enemies..we are not to repay evil for evil..

If this was so, then Paul (Saul) would have been killed and not forgiven..for he advocated the killing of hundreds of Christians, before Christ appeared unto him..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Yes! Jesus would believe in the death penalty and Yes! he would forgive them. The death penalty is only one of the ways us humans must use to deal with our earthly problems. It is not up to Jesus to forgive us...it is up to God to forgive us.
Jesus was the messenger from God not God. He was the human entity sent by God to give us guidance. Amongst the best of his sayings was 'My kingdom is not of this earth'. What he meant by this is that his perfect 'Utopia' would never happen on this earth or any other earth. Jesus 'Utopia' can only be truly found in our hearts and souls. And can only be enjoyed by us after our resurrection in "Heaven" when we have left these earthly confines. The way to heaven? Is by the true interpretations of Jesus parables being the "Light" through the darkness of this world.

God does not believe in an eye for an eye...people shouldn't judge...someone elses faults with death....He will forgive the ones who ask so in His name....See no bible versus for you

Hugo,

you are such a nice person in real life, but your comment under your question is ugly. Why asking, when you know what will come out. God bless you and - take care of the beautyful country of Venezuela.

Jesus said you must obey the laws of the land, so in my view he would support it just like any normal person would, unfortunately we do have those that are not normal that want to save the criminal.

Can you imagine Jesus hanging, electrocuting, of shooting anyone in a capital punishment?

If he said we should not resist evil individually, why should it be different for society?

May God help you understand that we don't have the right to take a life.

God bless you all that do not believe in Him!
