my family has been brought up in the lutheran denomination for many years. i announced in september to my family that i was changing denominations in the Christian faith. from lutheran to non-denominitial. i told her my beliefs and since then she's been telling me i'm wrong. and her attitude is the classic one. i should only stand up for what i believe in if its what she believes in. i love her dearly, but i won't back down. how can i politely tell my grandmother to back off, politely becuz i don't wanna be mean about it.

I noticed a simillar question was posted 3 days ago, but mine is bit different. I am asking for the possibility of the life in the "whole universe", not just our solar system.

I have very little knowledge on the space study, so I may misuse some words. But I am sure you understand what I try to mean.

As you know, there are many, many galexies out there, which could take some billion light years or more to just get to there. We simply can not travel that far, because our technology has not been developed sophisticated enough.

Based on this fact, I think it is natural to imagine that there must be some lives (not the primitive ones like the becteria, etc.), close to the human. They may not have been evolved good enough just like us right now, but who knows if they are having the middle ages of their own right now.

This is what I think. Do you think, or can you give me a fact that there may be a high leved livings like us out there?

Where do you think they possibly be?

How can you know anything in absolute without being absolute yourself?

Pehaps you think God gave you this certainty. But then He would have to change you into a God too, with absolute knowledge.

Don't you think only God can be 100% sure of his existence?

Jesus Christ was their King they denied him and mocked him. What Messiah are they waiting for? Explain. I am genuinley curious, and I am not trying to start a war. I just want to know how it is they feel when God told them he was sending them their Messiah, they felt it was ok to dismiss Jesus the Messiah. Maybe I am wrong feel free to enlighten me.

Don’t the Bible and science oppose each other?

The Bible is not a science textbook. Nevertheless, it is accurate when it mentions facts within the realm of science. Furthermore, the Bible contains physical knowledge about the world that was not generally known when the writers recorded the words of God. God created the heavens and the earth, and He intimately knows all about His creation. He simply told His prophets about the nature of earth and the universe, and they wrote down the scientific information He gave them.

One of the chief arguments against the Bible is that evolution, not creation, is responsible for the origin of animals and man. Christian Educational Services joins its voice with thousands of other educated Christians in categorically denying that evolution is true and that men and women are the product of millions of years of unplanned and random changes. The evidence from all branches of science is confirming that God did create the heavens and the earth, just a

Signs of True Christian Believers
MARK 16: 17 – 18
These signs will accompany those who have believed:
a)In My name they will cast out demons (devils).
b)They will speak new tongues.
(Not a single person can speak all the languages, but some may speak limited number of languages.)
c)They will pick up serpents
(Can a single Christian pick up serpents?)
d)And if they will drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them.
(Not a single Christian can pass this test, unharmed.)
e)They will lay hands on sick, and they will recover.
(There is no need of any single Doctor , if there exists a single True Christian Believer, in the whole Universe.)

The Roman Catholic church dictates that the use of contraceptives and abortion is prohibited. That is clear to me. What isn't clear to me is the fact that in the book of Genesis, it states "be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth" (1:28), but the same church that preaches that has an insistence on celibacy for priests and nuns. Isn't celibacy for priests and nuns a direct defiance of the command to be fruitful and multiply?

It's when we point out what someone is doing wrong. And then make a suggestion
as to how they can do it right!

Why do some only see the "weakest link in the chain". The weakest aspect of
what we're saying. Completely ignore the stronger element of what we said.
And then tell us We are "harping" on the negative?

I was in church when our Pastor ask us to come up and she was going to put oil on us and pray for us. While standing in line I felt a wet touch in the middle of my back and then I felt three drops of water hit my back along with hearing wind go past my right ear. As I continue to stand there I hear the wind again and this time it blew me down on the floor. As I layed there I felt somthing hot in my stomach. It last for a while, but the whole time this was going on it seem as if my Pastor voice came from the same place which was in front of me. I never heard anything she said to any of the other member except one of them. She was telling her about how God had good things in store for her. I was crying because I told her the exact same thing in a poem that I has wrote to her and gave it on the same day the Pastor was praying for us. Each time I am down on the floor I seem to be there for a long time, everyone else is up except me. Can you explain to me why this happens.
