How can you know anything in absolute without being absolute yourself?

Pehaps you think God gave you this certainty. But then He would have to change you into a God too, with absolute knowledge.

Don't you think only God can be 100% sure of his existence?

I'm not 100% sure of anything.

But yes, I believe that there's a creative intelligence at the foundations of existance. When I look at all the alternatives, that looms large as the most probable.

A mindless universe governed by nothing but chaos and random chance? Consciousness as the only attribute of existance that dead-ends, while all other attributes of existance evolve, change... but continue to contribute to the whole? A universe that allows for contrived morality, contrived ethics... entirely unreflective of the universe itself?

Existance would be a joke, and in order to get the joke you'd have to conscious. And that mean the joke is on us.

Either the universe has purpose, and is therefore directed... or it is purposeless, and we're just making it up as we go, comforting ourselves with our own pretenses, ... whistling in the dark until the dark finally takes us.

100% sure? Nope. But I'm much more sure of a God than the absence of one.

Well, God is the ultimate reality, the ultimate truth. So God knows better than us of His own existence. We are the ones who live a temporal existence. But I know for a fact God exists, so I don't question His existence.

By the way, God is not a male or female, I just use "He" or "His" as a figure of speech.

It is not so much a rational decision, as it is transcending rationality in favour of something more uncanny, that is, faith. To have faith is at the same time to have doubt. So, for example, for one to truly have faith in God, one would also have to doubt that God exists; the doubt is the rational part of a person's thought, without which the faith would have no real substance. Doubt is an essential element of faith, an underpinning. In plain words, to believe or have faith that God exists, without ever having doubted God's existence or goodness, would not be a faith worth having. For example, it takes no faith to believe that a pencil or a table exists, when one is looking at it and touching it. In the same way, to believe or have faith in God is to know that one has no perceptual or any other access to God, and yet still has faith in God.

I would give it 1%
I can't say there is in no way there is a god or that there never was (deist) but I think it is highly unlikely.
I don't know how people could compare god to their wife. I can talk to my wife. or use the bible as evidence. that book is the last place you want to study. The world and the universe are not perfect.

With every breath I take I am living off of the breath that God gave me.......So Yes I am 100% sure there is a God.... This world and all the universe is too perfectly aligned to not believe...... You are living off the breath he gave you too...So You better be careful..... Because God is NO respecter of persons.... And when he takes that breath from you, you will either open your eyes in Heaven or Hell. And it is sadly your decision....... So if you claim to be a Christian. You had better NOT have no doubts that God is real....Or else you won't make it to the Kingdom Of Heaven

First question: Yes I am.
Second Question: Because the absolute God releved Himself.

With your tought you are very near to what the New Testament teaches: In the new born experience, that is the changing point in wich a human becomes a christian, we become partakers of the godly natire - see 2. Peter 1:4. We don't become God or godlike, but the new life in us is godly life and by this we can be 100 % sure, that God exists.
God bless you - and thanks for such deep and interesting question!

We are not meant to be GODS, there is only ONE God, we strive to be God like. You understand what you know is truth by study, by faith, by reading the Word, which is God, look up and read John 1:1 also Matt. 18:18-21 God gives us free will, even if you don't believe there is a God, there is, and He gives us all understanding, absolutly, with FAITH, everything is absolute. I am 100% sure of His existence, as are millions of others.

Just as much as anyone is 100% sure that there isnt a God, or 100% sure that there cannot BE any certainty whether there IS or there ISN'T a God. :)

i'm a hundred% specific that God does exist. All God's claims could desire to be innovations by making use of human beings. yet i will assure you that human beings did not invent the earth, heavens, stars, moon, all the galaxies.
