i agree becuz all three try to disprove the bible and the bible is the truth.

I do too! But where most manipulate your thinking so they can have control over you.
I manipulate other peoples thinking so they can have more control over themselves!

why do Catholics worship mary and do the saint thing when...?

...Jesus said 'no one may pray to the father but by me'.
i read up on the catholic denomination and i found out that they use saints as a link to heaven. that's wrong! and worshiping mary is wrong too! mary was a sinner and she was a mortal. she is blessed becuz she was chosen but that doesn't make her the 'mother of God'. i don't care what the reason behind that is. no disrepect meant, it's just that the catholic denomination is filled with misinterpretaions of the bible. you don't need a link to heaven, your link is praying directly to God! praising mary and the saints is idol worship!

I am totally confused by religion, can someone explain it to me?

Maybe I am being completely silly. But from a confused point of view - in Christianity, Christians say that God created everybody so why are there so many different religions? If people were created by God, does that mean they strayed from the path of Christianity and other religions are false and were created by these 'strayers'? Do other religions think this of Christianity? I really don't know what to believe, I seem to err on the side of Athiests at the moment because that seems so much more simple. Everywhere I look around the world, religion is the root of the problem and I just find it all totally confusing!!!!
Totally no offence meant, I wasn't brought up religiously, was Christened but to be honest have never even given God much of a thought in my day to day life. I have read the bible but that just confused me even more!

Oh my God, and Christians?

someone asked if "oh my god" was a swear word and a religious person says that it is using the lord's name in vain.

If that is very wrong to do (using the lord's name in vain) why is it that EVERYONE that is having sex says "oh my god!!" Are christians that say that ignoring God's decree? Do they have to go to priests and repent for saying "oh my God" while having sex?

The most logical answer I've ever gotten to this question was basically:

Every other arguement that I've ever heard can easily be shown to be based on at least one, if not several, logical falacies.

Christians: I believe in God cause when I die, if I'm right, yeah, If I'm wrong I've lost nothing. But what about you atheists??

Blah blah blah. I have read HUNDREDS of these answers and they are almost exact word for word by different users

Atheists this is for you; Are you happy? Do you have good morals? How on earth is that possible if...."God"... isn't a part of your life?? Do you find that thinking slightly ridiculous?

(I have been told by CHRISTIANS mind you that I have better morals than some of them - How is that possible?!?! *gasp*)

Ok, can you explain how you 'must believe in jesus or else' rule is actual reality? Isn't it faith-based?

and since my beliefs are different than your personal faith, what do I really care what you think about your version of god and the after life....really...you can repeat a million times that I'm hell bound and wrong....but the truth of it is that you're only telling yourself that, and in my opinion, it's basically moot.

I'm pretty set in my ways that the the whole 'you must believe and accept Jesus to be saved' stuff is all mumbo jumbo, so having someone that has faith that is not jumbo mumbo repeatedly tell me I'm 'lost, wrong and going to hell' is rather comedic to me. I basically shrug my shoulders and walk by without an ounce of shame or guilt. While someone may be yelling that I need saving, I can relax and give a sigh of relief that I didn't fall into that pattern of faith thinking.

Does it bother you that I'm completely unshaken by your 'doom threats' about hell because in my opinion it's man-made and not real? Does it bug you that I'm completely happy without it?
