You mean rapture? No way. I don't buy into it.

Luckily, my dear old Mother, bless her HEART! Taught me that teaching requires
repitition. So I'll suck it up, and start typing.
Some say the Earth will actually go from being a three dimensional world, to
a fourth dimensional one. I don't know!
One thing I'm sure of. Is our world will go through a cataclysmic disaster. Some say it will shift on its axis, (slip on its spin). Isaiah 24. 6th seal in Revelation.
Many feel this will occur around 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar.
The catastrophe is what will bring the Great Tribulation about. And there are
outside influences who do not have humanitys best interests at heart, that
will create as much chaos as possible.
Luckily for me, I have already been out of body spiritually, and no longer
have any doubts or fears. And I know that the worst thing that can happen is,
that I will lose my physical body, and then I get to go to Heaven!

My opinion? My opinion is that yes, the ancient Mayas said that. Will it happen? Of course not. They were ancient Mayas, not gods. If they could predict the future they'd still be around instead of being an ancient civilization.

According to the Mayas, time operates in great cycles of creation and destruction. These cycles have duration of 5,125 years. For my own personal sake, I hope that they miscalculated. Or, that it is not a doomsday, but the start of great transformations. Most religions have some sort of birth-death-rebirth cycle.
History also tells us that every great nation has its growth, peak, and doom. It could be that one of the world’s societies will no longer be recognized how it is today.
What will be will.

I heard about 15 years ago that it was closer to March 2013 (according to a translation of the Mayan calendar) - maybe the translation got better over the years.
I don't believe it. The Bible says we will not know when Jesus Christ will return to restore the earth. See Source below.

The end of the world has been predicted many many times, but it hasn't happened yet. We've got no proof that this prediction will come true, so I won't be worrying about it.
