Christians: I believe in God cause when I die, if I'm right, yeah, If I'm wrong I've lost nothing. But what about you atheists??

Christians: He is my lord and savior

Christians: Having God in your life brings morals, happiness, peace

Blah blah blah. I have read HUNDREDS of these answers and they are almost exact word for word by different users

Atheists this is for you; Are you happy? Do you have good morals? How on earth is that possible if...."God"... isn't a part of your life?? Do you find that thinking slightly ridiculous?

(I have been told by CHRISTIANS mind you that I have better morals than some of them - How is that possible?!?! *gasp*)

Yes, I'm sick of it.

"Are you happy?"
Yes, very much so. I have a loving husband, a beautiful son, walls all around me and a roof over my head. My son has toys, food, clothes, protection, love, everything he needs. I have friends, I have hobbies, I have talents, I have conversations. I'm quite happy.

"Do you have good morals?"
Yes I believe I do. Some may not agree with me on political points, but generally I've been characterized as a very moral person. Mind you, these were mostly Christians who told me I'm moral so I think I've demonstrated a solid morality at least to those who hold atheists to a particularly higher standard.

"How on earth is that possible if "God" isn't a part of your life?"
Contrary to popular belief, happiness and contentment is attainable without the Christian God. I know several Buddhists, Wiccans, atheists, agnostics, even a couple Satanists, who are good, moral, happy people. They require no Judeo-Christian deity.

"Do you find that thinking slightly ridiculous?"
Oh, not just slightly. HUGELY.

I am Agonna Say This:

YOUR SPIRIT has to be RECREATED.
To go to Heaven.

HUMAN BEINGS who have NOT been RECREATED (Spiritman):
1. Can be Very Nice People.
2. Can Help Others.
3. Have Better Morales than SOME Christians (I said some).
4. Can be Patriotic, Support Community, Family, Friends etc.
5.ARE NOT DEMON POSSESSED
6. Pay Taxes (Hahahaha!-no offense!)
7. CAN BE THE BEST PEOPLE on the EARTH.

Now:
HUMAN BEINGS who have Been RECREATED:
1. Can be Very Nice People.
2.Can Help Others.
3.Have Better Morales than Some Other People (I said some). (Not Born-Again).
4. Can be Patriotic, Support Community, Family, Friends etc.
5.ARE NOT DEMON POSSESSED.
6.Pay Taxes! (Hahaha, again!)
7.CAN BE THE BEST People on the EARTH.

The ONLY THING that KEEPS you OUTTA HEAVEN:
Not getting your Spirit RECREATED.

Doing Good cannot Recreate your Spirit but we ALL SHOULD DO GOOD.
Belonging to a "religion" cannot Recreate your Spirit.

This Might be the Last Time I Type this on this Site, for a While.

Now, I want Everybody to Quit Fussing and Fighting.

shut up, Shut Up, ---SHUT UP!!!!
(got that from the Movie "Mars Attacks!" funny Movie too!)

And, I want Everybody to get that Spirit RECREATED, so-as we ALL can have a Good Time Later On!

I know you can do it, I am Believing and Counting on it too!
Love you all, Didn't mean to Offend Any-One,GOD Bless,
I am Tired,
GODs "Nut".
Later!

Yes, it is ridiculous!

I'm happy because the world is beautiful. More so, I think, if it all occured by chance than if it has a purpose. I mean, what are the odds? It's all so amazing and science is just mind-blowing. How intricate and unique everything is. And interconnected. I don't understand how you would need a God to make you happy. To make you comfortable, maybe. But that isnt important to me.

I have good morals, I would say. I don't hurt people in any way if I can help it, because I have empathy for them and can put myself in their shoes.

Easily. I don't need to be scared of punishment or commandments to tell me to be good to people, I do it because I genuinely care about people in the world. I know that I could just as easily be them. Also, I feel connected to people a lot. We're all very similar underneath, and that makes me love everyone, as do their weaknesses and idiosyncrasies. I don't think you need a God at all to love and respect people.

Sorry, I'm not an atheist, but I agree that everyone can be happy, be moral and find peace within themselves without being Christian. It is rediculous to think atheists can't. It's similar to saying gay people can't love each other like straight people do (sort of). If there is a God, and he loves everyone, then I'm pretty sure he'll look at your heart, your actions, and what you did with your life and judge you accordingly. I get tired of Christians thinking they are the judge of people when even they should know it's not true. We should all respect each other.

If you read Marcus Aurelius's Meditations you'd find the same kind of religious thought. The difference is he is talking about Zeus. Really, go and read it.

For the morals thing, several books have been written about why we have morals and how they come about. These morals are largely the same for all human societies though those societies have different origins. It's the same type of mechanism that allows us to understand and speak language. We simply have very similar brains thanks to genetics and evolution. Oops, did I say the "e" word. A great new book out, still in hardcover, is "Moral Minds" by Hauser. The explanations and evidence are explicit and clear. You'll like it if you like actual measurable answers instead of, "because I say so."

thats just the way things are, and people in general. I feel I have a pretty good grasp on life and people in general. Most people I come in contact with off-line enjoy my company because I'm tolerant and I listen. It's rather simple. Some people I meet have personalities where they are immediately consumed by what they're impressed with at the moment. Like they meet someone that says something that to me seems rather 'bs and cliche' and they jump on it like it's the wisest and most profound thing they've ever heard.

I feel that way about the bible all the time. Certain personalities like to screw people over, they don't seem to have a moral compass, probably due to upbringing or greed for more, not anything to do with believing in God or not. I for one, don't like to screw people over because I follow that golden rule, I wouldn't want to be screwed over, so why would I do it back? Certain people just don't give a crap and do it regardless of what faith they believe in.

It takes me time to allow people into my circle of trust, and my beliefs are built on sturdy foundations that have been tested and come true. Realistically, all major religions, in my opinion, are simply mythological tales that have been embellished and put on pedestals so much that the followers have been ingrained with fear and dependence on them. I don't get it personally, probably never will, but those people will always exist.

~ aren't you sick of it?~
*No I am not sick of being agnostic~ I am sick of people thinking that there is something wrong with it though.
~are you happy?~
*like most people I have days that I am happy and days that I am unhappy.... its called life and has NOTHING to do with my lack of religion.... But for the most part I am very happy... wonderful husband, healthy kids, good enough job, roof over my head.....etc etc
~do you have good morals?~
*I would like to think so..... never been to jail, never intentionally harmed anyone, don't abuse the kids or the husband, don't steal, cheat or lie.
~how possible without *God*~
*its possible because I have the freedom to think on my own and know what I think is good and bad. My lack of religion always me to not be hung up in the "Oh my that's against my religion so I don't like it or them" I can think through a situation or get to know a person and make up my own mind on it.
~sound slightly ridiculous?~
* I think most religious go rounds are slightly ridiculous. People have basic human rights, freedom of thoughts, freedom of movement, and the freedom to love a person that is not based on gender, race or religion!

Yes, I am indeed sick of being called immoral, bitter, angry, etc... because I don't believe the same as someone else. If people took the time to get to know me, they would find that I AM happy, I AM moral, and I AM at peace, and this is not due to belief in any fairy tale. Oh well. Let them believe what they want, I'm not wasting any more time trying to convince them differently. =)

I have not come throughout it sufficient to be ill of it, however I am fully at the back of you in that it's certainly mendacity although they do not admit to themselves that this can be a lie. Religious folks deceive themselves approximately truth and as a consequence also are mendacity to others whilst telling them that their possess ideals are "reality." EDIT: I'm amazed on the solutions above me. It turns out that no person will get what you are pronouncing. That man who stated that mendacity is intentional by way of definition is fully lacking the factor. The factor is that simply in view that devout folks do not admit to themselves that what they think is imaginary does not imply that we will have to be effortless on them for his or her possess willful lack of knowledge. In reality, we have to see that they're blatantly mendacity by way of telling others that their ideals are reality. The final result is the identical. Willful lack of knowledge are not able to be an excuse to get out of brainwashing folks right into a fake truth.
