If God (whichever one you worship) commanded you to kill someone would you do it? I don't mean that his word was revealed to you in scripture, I mean you actually heard his booming voice and he commanded you to take another person's life, would you do it.

Now don't say he wouldn't do that, because he does it plenty of times in the bible and plenty of people followed his instruction.

the entire movie was about beating a man. Jesus was not tortured that badly because no one could survive the beating he recieved. In the movie jusus had every inch of his body torn open to the bone and still carried a 500 pound cross a few miles uphill. There is no religous picture of Jesus looking the way he did in The Passion.

I believe in things like demons, but not god, so I`m not Christian. I believe in the Triple Goddess and in free will. I believe that people need to work to accept one another more. I believe in spells, potions, some "mystical" creatures and supernatural powers/abilities. I DO NOT believe in Satan and I oppose all evil.

Its definately different, but what makes it such a problem for people to except?

and dont tell me about how humans make their own decisions and we choose where we go. that is not the question i am asking. Im asking, does god have the capability to send everyone to heaven. Or does he have limits to power?

the more "out there" people are, the more they are into the bible. Let me guess... you are fairly uneducated and have very religous parents?

On one hand religion needs to be talked about and on the other so many people abuse it.
I do enjoy when people I disagree with are so civilized in their communication. I do come across those gems and find it gratifying. It gives me hope. azra_981 is one example. She and other Muslims have expressed the most loving affection to people of other faiths calling them "brothers and sisters".

Jesus gave us the Beattitudes that may apply to anyone of any belief or faith:
Blessed are those who know they are spiritually poor;
the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!
Blessed are those who mourn;
God will comfort them!
Blessed are those who are humble;
they will receive what God has promised!
Blessed are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires;
God will satisfy them fully!
Blessed are those who are merciful;
God will be merciful to them!
Blessed are the pure in heart;
they will see God!
Blessed are the peacemakers;
They are the children of God....

Is this the reason many don't seem to care about radio active nuclear waste? Because these are the end of days.

Could you do something for your church or you religion if it didn't sit easy with you. If it was something that your conscience told you was wrong but was fully endorsed by your religion.

I have asked questions to Christians,not on here, about the Bible and the creation. I have asked the question if the story of the genesis is to be taken literally which they said it is, how did the earth get populated? Obviously incest, then I asked how can you be ok with incest?
Incest is not accetable in our society , why would God have approved of that in any point of human history? and I got very strange answers such as it was a necessity,or it was not a sin back then?what???????? how can anyone be ok with incest? no matter how far back it happened????????

He so needs it, he is six years old and has ADHD and mood disorder. His daddy his most favorite person in the world is in Iraq again for the second time. This has been so hard on my boy, it makes the adhd and mood disorder worse. yesterday he saw a picture of his daddy in iraq on the computer and he ran to get the phone book to look through it so he could find a way to get to iraq and get his daddy back home. It has been so hard for me to care for him and i have two other kids as well because he needs so much attention which is worse when daddy is deployed. He is a beautiful loving child but he has so many problems and is always sad. Please pray for him to become happier and to get through this deployment and pray for my husband to make it home safe. Thanks.
