You mean lack of responsibility right? And yes, I do think there is. People think that they can do whatever they want, when they want and that there will be on reprocussions for them in the next life, or even tomorrow.
People are only in it for themselves, instead of helping their fellow man. Faith has taken a backseat to having fun and people are a lot more likely to believe in a fictional book then in a real book given by prophecy.
God has been pushed to the backburner and people don't want to admit that there could be something out there that is greater then they are. They trust more in themselves and what they can think up then in God.
Children think they can play their lives away and take from others without having to give back anything of themselves. They are filled with a sense of fun being more important then making something of themselves. Education is something they may take advantage of if their their career as a _____ doesn't work out (you can fill in the blank with whatever you want).
People aren't willing to stand up for what they believe in and instead, let people say what they believe for them. It never ceases to amaze me that people think they are so high and mighty that they can tell someone else that their faith in something is wrong, or that they shouldn't believe something just because someone else thinks it's wrong. We are too easily swayed to the mind-set of others this days, and don't really listen to the little voice inside our heads that tell us what we really should be doing.
Family is something that people only think about when it fits into their schedules. Woman have decided that having a family will happen after their careers, after they are "sucessful". Guys think they can father a child and then just walk away without any responsibility to that child, or the childs mother. There is no respect for authority or for the sanctity of marriage. Marriage is something that is now said to be a right, not a privilege, that can be taken lightly and then done away with when times get hard, or one person decides that they "don't like" the other person.
There are so many other things I could name, but I think I should get off my soapbox now and let someone else have a turn.

If you are talking about the lack of responsibility, it not just today, always that has been the case. The story of Adam and Eve is a parable about human irresponsibility. People are given a job, but they can't do it in a responsible manner. When questioned about it, instead of taking the responsibility, they blame each other.
People are more aware of their privileges and rights than their responsibilities. Some religious groups claim that God chose them for certain privilleges. How blind they are! God calls people only to assign reponsibilities.

Everyone wants to be taken care of but not told what to do. Most people have a welfare mentality of just having enough to scrape by. There is no freedom in that. Everyone will be made responsible before God. People would rather blame God or Satan than contribute to make it better. We all have to start somewhere. I am the problem. I want someone else to pay my way. There is only one thing in life that is free and it will cost you everything. Jesus...

There isnt a lack of responsibility, there is a lack of accepting responsibility. We should be held responsibile, we should hold others responsible , no matter how much we would like to shirk that responsibilty.

You've got that right, when a fat person sues McDonald's because they stuffed their pie hole so much they gained enough weight to be a planet what does that say? And you can't really say it tastes that great either. It's a complete lack of honesty and integrity.

yeah, but that's nothing new. Adam when first confronted was blame shifting instead of owning up to his disobedience. And with every generation humans degenerated more and more, so next generation will be even less aware of their responsibilities, unless we do something drastic about that.

yes because some parents are not teaching this and making kids be responsible for their actions it is like until you buy your own car you never take care of it. if it is given to you people need to stand up even if they are wrong and take whatever is coming to them we all benefit from discipline

Yeah. Everytime a kid does something wrong his parents blame whatever music he listened to and what he watched on tv. By going on wild crusades our parents have made kids think that nothing is their fault anymore.
