Gary: again, what difference does it make? Haggard's already admitted to buying the meth and getting a massage sans sex. Does that really sound plausible to you?

He can likely lie and pay his way back to a favourable return, like the other hypocrites have done. Look at the mess that Rev. Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart got into .... lies, lies and more lies. All the while, they preached against lying (a terrible sin, so they insist), with all sorts of complications and situations that were disgusting.

But the truth is that Haggard initiated all of this. Nobody forced him to buy crystal meth or to contact Jones for a "massage" (and only a "massage"). How many other reliable, credible people do you know who go around buying crystal meth (with no supposed intention of using it), and for paying for a massage? The lies and hypocrisy are astounding, and this looks good on Haggard. It's about time that his lies force him to come out.

I'm from the Colorado Springs area, and I sincerely hope not. I am sick of men like him manipulating people. While I have no joy in his downfall, I can't say that it makes me unhappy, either.
