We Christians are to love the sinner but hate the sin. The act of homosexual sex is a disordered, unnatural act. It is an abomination to God. In other words, it is a mortal sin, or a sin that leads to death. That's why it would be uncharitable to not tell someone the truth about it. The truth is what sets us free. Politically correct lies are what enslave us.

Good question! True Christians are not against people who are gay. Christians are commanded to love each other and not judge. Here is the problem: The Bible makes it very clear that homosexuality is a sin, and God hates sin.
The Bible tells us that we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. In order to receive God's mercy for our sin, we have to repent (stop sinning), and put our faith in Jesus Christ.
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Those are God's rules, not ours.

God did not create gay people people were given freewill if a person says they are gay it is because they want to be and have convinced themselves that they were born that way but that is not true for God is so against it He made Adam and Eve not Adam and Adam 5 passages in the bible are Matt. 19:4-5 Romans 1:26-32 1Corinthians 6:9-11 John 8:44 Lev. 18:22

Because they really haven't gotten a true understanding of what it really means to be a Christian. A REAL Christian, is someone who believes in the teachings of Christ, and attempts to live their life in a way to exemplify those teachings. THEY ARE NOT JUDGMENTAL. I definitely believe there is a defined right and wrong, but God and Christ love ALL regardless of how often we fail to live up to their teachings.
Everyone on this Earth is a sinner in God's eyes, and there are no "degrees" of sins. Lying carries just as much weight as adultery, stealing is the same as murder.....they are ALL wrong. The choices we make in our own lives will be atoned for when we meet our God (that includes judging the sins of others over our own.)

According to the Bible, God created man and woman in the Garden of Eden in Genesis, God told them to be fruitful and multiply ( to be blessed and to have children) I know that someone of the same sex cannot naturally do this, it was not God given, God did not create this same sex life style according to the Bible. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. Read the history of Soddom and Gomorrah, God gave them a chance to repent (to turn from their ungodly ways) they refused, (the people of that city were invovled in same sex lifestyles, incestuous acts, beastiology and much more) but God was forced to destroy the city along with the people. This is scriptural fact and history backs it up. Dont misunderstand, God loves all and died for all on Calvary that we all may repent (turn our backs on sin and live His way) but God does not and will not condone sin of any kind according to the Word of God. I hope this was helpful, I am only telling you what the Bible and History says.

I'm not against gay people, just the act of being gay. Love the sinner, hate the sin. There are numerous places in the bible that talk about homosexuality being a sin. And, as one person said that it was written by men and they put their biases in... well, there must be something to it if more then one person wrote almost the exact same thing in more then one book. Maybe people need to look at that too.
I have gay friends, and I enjoy spending time with them. When we do, we leave out religion. I still love them for the people they are, but I don't love the way they live their lives. It isn't up to me to judge anyone, thankfully. I don't think I could be fair and partial to everyone. It's a good thing I don't have that resposibility. ;)

Because they are ignorant and are afraid of people who are different.
In the Bible it says that God loves everyone no matter what. And ANYONE ( which means gay or straight ) can reach heaven as long as they believe in jesus christ.
I think some christians are contradictions. Being gay is a sin in the bible but that does not mean that they are going to hell.
Hey, I am not even a christian and I know this stuff.

I think that christians need to get off thier high horses and stop with their hate speeches about gays.
as for the bible and it stating how a man should not lie with a male.. i have seen the bible misinterpreted so many times .. what if this statement was more for those rich ppl that had orgies and were basically just taking the act of sex and twisting it because they were perverted and jaded, not someone who was born gay.
I also do not understand why ppl stick their noses into a persons private life..... they are so worried about gays ... and yet.... look at all the sexual perversions performed by straights....can we say hypocrite?

because they are so ******* stupid. they are ignorant morons who use religion as an excuse to vent anger over something they don't understand, as a way to somehow resolve their own insecurities. it is a natural tendency to gather in a majority to attack a small minority, it's how humans work, a way of propogating the normal genes and prevent aberrations in behavior.
there is something very mysteriously psychological about sex and especially how people perceive homosexuality. sex has always been feared by christians (somehow anything pleasurable is a sin). christians feel that being austere in the mundane will allow for indulgence in heaven. they punish themselves hoping for rewards in the end that will never come. it is an expression of how they cope with the mystery of existence, they cannot accept that they are truly alive and that they have a right to feel pleasure. they deny this hoping for solitude, but in the end they up as decomposing matter just like the rest of us.
homosexuality is a twist on something already misunderstood and feared. people cannot understand the inherent nature of homosexuality (no one can unless you are one), and so reject it. sexuality seems an untouchable topic, and homosexuality clearly touches this topic with force. people cannot deal with this, and they end up hating gay people.
these were probably the underlying thoughts of those who wrote the bible (living in an ignorant, technologically deprived age it's no wonder), and people believe today, mostly because they have nothing else to believe.
it's sad, because if the bible was never written, i doubt people would believe in this destructive religion today. it's sad that we take our cue from ancient texts written by ignorant, superstitious idiots who knew nothing about technology, genetics, astronomy or anything else that so blatantly contradicts the basic tenets of religion.
my solution: forget about the universe and its workings we will never know about. we should just have massive public orgies in the fields and drink alcohol all the time. sensual pleasure is the only real pleasure. everything else will leave you empty in the end.

I agree with you.
But the "Bible" says from "men" that it is wrong/
Most of the Bible is MAN very little of it is Jesus or God and when it comes to Jesus or God it is short, sweet and definative.
God's ONLY sexual comment was "not to commit adultery" which can be liberally interpreted to mean a lot of things.
God never said 'Thou shalt not fornicate' or 'mastrubate' but these can be put under the "adulterate" concepts.
God never said, however, don't have a homosexual point of view
Jesus never said it either
Jesus said NO divorce except for adultery (and a lot of Christians violate that)
Jesus said NO FORNICATION, to avoid it ALL men should marry (and some Christians violate that too).
That's ALL God and Jesus said about sex.
Jesus saved Mary MAgdeline from being stoned for playing whore, if we extend that Jesus would save a lot of people from a lot of ills sexual and otherwise.
Jesus and God want us to be good people.
Sexually active people outside of marriage are NOT that good, hetero or homo.
