Would you please state your religion, ( if Christian please do not limit the answer and let me please know which denomination), and give me the best argument to convince me your Religion is the TRUTH?
If Atheist would you please give me your best argument to convice me there is no God.
If not religious but believing in the existance of God, tell me what you believe God's intentions are and your view about after life.

Based upon Christ's words, "if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." Do we have faith to agree? Why not on Yahoo Answers?

We all get asked for help by strangers on the street. How do you respond? Did you ever think that God is watching? He is!!
Now I know there's abuses of our kindness, but THINK ABOUT IT. What if that person is in 'dire need' of help? And there's no where else to turn? Pointing them in the direction of a shelter is ok, but what about really helping them yourself? What if, and I know this might be hard to imagine, but what if that person was.. . ..YOU ???

Everyone seems to forget that no one has ever seen, much less, really had a one-on-one conversation with God. God did not write the Bible, Koran, Torah or any other religious book. God did not inspire men to write any of these books. All these books have been written by men, sometimes under threat of death if they did not write what a leader of a religion wanted in the text. So why do people think it was God-inspired when there is no proof?

in my previous question user Shane said this (I'm only pasting the last line)

So again my point is, you die because you "tempted God". But wouldn't God want to save you? Aren't Christians allowed to have moments of doubt about their religion, and if this said example were true, then technically you just comminted suicide and will burn in hell for all eternity just because you wanted proof of God's existence.

So because you tempted God, you are banished to Hell. Why wouldn't God want to save him? Why does he pick and chose where he helps?

So again, if you pray/tempt God and nothing happens, how do you know that 1) God is ignoring you or 2) he just plain doesn't exist

Surly blind unquestioning belief in something despite how much evidence proves you to be completely wrong can't be a good thing. Say no to jesus http://www.saynotojesus.tk

The Bible states that the Messiah will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10).
The geneology of Joseph can be traced back to David, but Joseph was not Jesus' father. The Bible claims that God himself was Jesus' father. Please explain.

The Roman Catholic Church claims that it gave us the Bible. This claim does not stand up to the test of history.

The Old Testament was written by God's inspired prophets, patriarchs, psalmists, judges and kings.

The New Testament was written by Jewish-Christian apostles and none of them are Catholics because there was no Roman Catholic Religion at the time.

The fact is that the Catholic Religion did not exist at the time of Jesus so Peter had nothing to do with something which did not exist.

So Catholic Church did not give us the Bible. However, Catholic monks helped preserve the Bible by copying it and you will see, the Catholic Church kept the Bible in Latin.

This prevented people from reading the Bible in their own language.

Or from Greek to English (New Testament). I am wanting to investigate other translations of the Hebrew words that were translated into a particular word, to hopefully gain more insight into the original meaning of what was written.

For example - In Genesis 1:28 it talks about Adam and Eve "replenishing" the Earth. So it baits the question ...was the Earth "plenished" before and had to be "re" plenished.
But going to the Hebrew word "Mole" - it doesn't mean to replenish, but rather "to fill".

I am not trying to bash the Bible - I love the Bible, I am just seeking a deeper understanding of particular words.
