All books are written by man, this is agreed, i dont think the bible ever claimed to be written by God. Only the quran believes it is written by God. Infact muslims will tell you that the quran was written by God before he even created the earth. Funny though, because if you ever read it, you never know if its talking in first person or third person? Its like the author doesnt know who to ask the questions to. Sometimes God is speaking to you, others muhammed is talking to him and so on. there are places where allah is being addressed by the writer. for example "for me, i have been commanded to serve the lord in this city...and i am commanded to be of those who bow in islam to Gods will" (Surah 27:91). After this, you might begin to wonder who is speaking. Allah or a writer?

Oh, and mr Glenn, you claim to know so much and that no one knows as much as you. I hate to tell you this, but carbon dating has proved that atleast one of the Gospels, i believe the gospel of mark, was written by someone who lived in the time of christ. And when the four gospels were chosen out of approximately 30 available gospels to represent the current version of the new testament that we have by constantine and his advisors, they didnt choose them willy nilly. They chose them because they could trust the authors. they either knew the authors or knew that they were a credible source. Infact, carbon dating on all the gospels that have been found, show that the four we have in the new testament now are the dated the nearest to the time of christ.

And for those of you who insist that the bible has been changed time after time, and has been done so by kings and queens, i really dont know where you get your information from? I guess everyone just likes the odd conspiracy theory. the discovery of the dead sea scrolls, which are a copy of the bible we have now but are dated to more than 2000 years ago show a 95% similarity with the version we have now. The other 5% are minor spelling and gramatical mistakes. so in over 2000 years, the bible has only changed this small 5%, So why do people insist that it has been tampered with so much? Everyone loves to think this, and i bet all of you have probably read dan brown or something stupid as that and believe everything it says. Hes making millions by twisting the truth and you are buying into it.

Many questions here. The original 5 books of the bible were thought to have been written by Moses. Most bible scholars now agree that they were not. More likely they are the product of merging 4 different writings. Even the writings of Matthew, Mark, John, & Luke are in question. All were obviously written by men but which men, and when, and how many times were they changed, editted, re-written, etc. is unknown

The bible is just a book of a bunch of hear say it's not like the bible came in one whole written by one person..it came from stories told by many people...imagine if you had 8 people sit in a circle, one person told the person sitting next to them for example"the white wolf ran south to it's prey" then the story continued to get passed along to the people in the circle, when it finally reaches the original person who told the story it is a guarantee that the story has changed atleast 4 times same as with the bible so who's to say the bible and all of it's content is fact or fiction, there are many discrepencies in the bible if you read what is written instead of what it means...nobody in the bible has their story straight...so basically I wouldn't worry about who wrote the bible it's just a book of stories told by many people long time ago.

The Torah became written by Moses or Abraham i've got self belief, notwithstanding i do no longer comprehend for particular if it is the case. The torah is the 1st 5 books of the previous testomony. something of the previous testomony has a tendency to be written by a lot of people, generally the call of the e book. it quite is elementary to confirm who did each and each e book, evven numbers. the hot testomony is written by the 4 gospels and Paul, in his letters to the cchurch and timothy and Titus. i'm uncertain notwithstanding if or no longer Timothy or Titus wrote any e book themself. The Koran to date as i comprehend is stimulated by Mohammad, the Muslim prophet. i do no longer comprehend something greater approximately it.

As evident in the books themselves, The Bible was "inspired through 44" or more authors but they wrote using their own words. Similarly The Torah, albeit by less number of individuals. None of these authors personally authenticated their contributions.
Every word in The Qur'an was dictated to Muhammad through the arch angel Gabriel by God Almighty. The book itself says so and Muhammad confirmed it.
You owe it to yourself to actually read the books and see how easy it is to reach your own informed, happy conclusion.

I find it really sad that some people actually believe in God, or that he wrote books...
The New Testament was put together by selecting people's interpretation of some old fairy tales...no-one who ever met this supposed Jesus person contributed a single written word to the bible.
And, incidentally, the only bits that made it through the editor's cut (Constantine for one...) were the ones that weren't too nasty, like in the old testament...but look carefully for the massive contradictions...I wonder how many of you Bible bashers know as many as I do...

Anyone who thinks that the scriptures are the "Word of God" is sadly deluded. These books were written by men recording their own thoughts and beliefes in the hope of preserving them and imposing their ideas on others. At best they might contain some faint shadows of what God said yesterday. If you really want to get in tune with the real live God, you better start listening to what He has to say today, instead of trying to live some fossilised creed written in a dusty book.

It is not crazy to believe that Jesus himself wrote the Bible. You first must believe in the power God has in this universe. In order to understand completely what I am going to share with you, please find a United Pentacostal Church in your area for a one on one Bible study. Have you ever heard of Divine Insiration? To give you an example of this let's say you are the person writing down word for word what some one else is telling you. That person could be your boss, the Judge, or even the president. There is nothing Divine about the example given, it is just a physical representation. Keeping the example in mind, the people that wrote the Bible, yes people, had a solid relationship with God. Each individual God chose to be his vessel, in which his spirit would take control of their minds and soul. Not in a possession type way, but in an influential way. Often, God would audiably speak to them, cause them to dream, or fill the room with his all encompassing spirit to elevate the writers into another relm or state of conciousness. For example the Apostle John who wrote the book of revelations, he was wide awake when God entered his mind and took over his vision and caused him to dream a very vivid dream. This type of dreaming while yet awake eyes open, but not at all seeing what is around you in the physical world, is usually called a vision. I hope this helps you understand that Man did write the Bible under the Divine Insiration of God. If man did in fact write the Bible all on his/her own it would not have stood the test of time. Man is fallable, however God is not. The Bible as we know it today was, is, and always will be. Because God was, is and always will be and his word is eternal. God's language is something far more than any human can comprehend, God knew that when he created us. So in his love for his creation he made a way for us to be able to understand all that he has said and done. And through His word communicate with us on a daily basis. As well as show us and teach us his plans for the future. So that no man, woman, or child is ignorant of his plans for the human race. God said " I did not know" is not an excuse for not living the life he has chosen for you. God also said of those that try to decipher the teachings and words of the Bible and be not born again( a Christian) it will remain a mystery to them. They will think the Bible is confusing and contradicting. Therefore they will get caught up in believing the Bible is just a well written book. I hope this helps you out. I my self am former Christian. I still believe the Bible to be true. I just wanted to exercise my God given right to choose right path or the wrong path. I am on the wrong road, however I stay in tune with God to small degree.

The words of the original Torah and Bible were from God written down by the Prophets. The Quran is the same, word of God but written by the Prophet.

All books are written by men.
Some, made out to be scriptures, are then read by other men.
The ideas are misunderstood by the readers.
These misunderstandings then even lead to wars.

Some men read one of these books and insist that it is the word of god.
The rest of the men think/know they are being taken for a ride.
This can cause bigger wars than ever.
