The people may be the same, their believes are far different. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God. Although this does differ between denominations within Christianity. Some believe as I do that Jesus is the 2nd person of a Triune God and that HE, God the Father and the Holy Spirit are all three manifestations of the Godhead.
Muslims contend that Jesus was a mere prophet, not the SON of God and that Mohamed was a superior prophet although what he taught contradicted the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for our sin, Mohamed had others killed for his. The same? No way.

The difference is actually as large as the difference between life and death or between love and hate. The Christian God is the only true God. Christ taught love and forgiveness through true repentance. His true followers live by what He taught and are known by their good works. You only have to look at the world today to see the complete opposite in the "works" of muslims.

there are so slight differences in beliefs , but over all we all know that islam , the original bible , and torah came from one god . i really wish this gap betwwen ppl diappear so that we all live in peace. each one has the right to believe in what he wants that god has told us when he said," There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tâghût[] and believes in Allâh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower. "(2:256)so .....?!

Muslims and Christians believe very different things, despite those who would like to lump them together.
EDIT:
If you are not asking about beliefs, then maybe you can tell us what you ARE asking about. We all seem to be giving you the same answer--so we are obviously interperting your question the same way.

This is NOT the God of the Muslims...
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Col 1)

there is difference in some beliefs.
but still i believe they can n they should shoulder to shoulder without discrimination.everyone belonging to any religion is same, religion is after humanity....
if we put aside internal hatred,n racism for each other....we can move along in every walk of life.
as muslims....after islam,we have intense respect for christanity.
