for the not so advanced: Why do you need to believe in fairy tails and flat out deny reality rather then simply accepting objective reality? Is the concept of death so frightning you need a mythological construct (Religion) or where you raised with it and are too scared to learn the facts of what you have been tought by out side resources?

I Dont believe in ghosts of dead people who come back to haunt us. But i do believe in demons who can do whatever they want (scare, possess, take any form they want including deceased people we know, etc) and so on. so i watched this show yesterday but it was funny because i know people were throwing balls and making screaming noises in the background to scare the 'celebretries'. what do you think about ghosts? and Thank you :)

I'm looking for a GOOD book for my boyfriend about evolutionary creation, or theistic evolution. This means one that talks about God creating through the process of evolution.

I am not asking whether you believe in one or the other, there have already been polls and questions like that. I've looked up a few online, but am interested in whether people have actually read or heard of books like this?

Remember... Evolutionary Creation... NOT Evolution VS Creation - I don't want a one sided book, or a debate. I already know that this is his position on the topic, and am looking for a book that would be interesting for him.

Thank you for your answers!! =0)

The leading authoity here in Fl, says it will get worse once the trauma(s) are remembered..and what worked before, won't work now-drugs,food,memory lapses-so the only answere is to accept you will never be the person you once were ie, accomplishments, positive personality traits, human relationships and social outings are replaced by pychological trauma that never goes away although it may lessen at times. You are a new person...reborn and discovering who you are and what works for you in this new WORLD. You can see it as a new and learning experience with a whole new life in front of you. But I only miss the educated, employed, occassionally happy, out-going woman, mother, grandmother, daughter and life's teacher. She's still there but so shy and confused by the 'other' menories. Whichwill respond or over-react in any given situation? This is not what we as a nation are ready for once our sevice people come home. There is no way we can be.and my heart goes out to their home-coming

Can I just go to a Catholic church to experience it without becoming a member, or do I have to become a member to experience being part of the Catholic church? And, if so, how would I go about becoming Catholic?

I would have never believed that there was so much animosity between the believers and the non believers. Isn't it fun?

....*( I didn't even know he was lost, I thought he was dead.)*...I feel so loved by Jesus..exc..exc.
Happiness, Joy, Love, what do such words even mean? That's for fools,Ist it? I mean I believe life is holy and good, all of it. Misery and suffering are part of it and are therefore good. Night and day. Light and dark. Life and death. Good and evil. God and the devil, all differnt sides of the same coin. The only real happiness is finding to learn to accept misery , pain and sorrow as the only ways to be " happy" so why do you christians say the only way to be happy is to believe in a dead carpentar, Jesus I believe is his name... so why why why do you say that..????!!!! why are you so unenlightened??!!!

When I said "I am in charge of my life", I wasn't saying I could jump off a cliff and survive...What i meant was that "Jesus, or God" has no part of our creation and existence. Don't get me wrong...It isn't that I think Jesus was make believe...I just dont think he is our "Lord and Savior..." BUT...Why do you have to believe that there is someone else to obey other than yourself? Do you believe in being good? Do you believe in love for everyone? Yes??? Well...then why do you have to say that your doing it for God and not yourself? Why do you have to look for someone elses acceptance when it is only you. There isnt anybody judging everything we do, "up in heaven". The only person that is judging your actions is you! You are the one you answer to when you die. That voice in your head that you hear all the time telling you what is right or wrong, is you. Are you really that scared of yourself???

If you believe in Jesus as your savior, be a Christian. If you don't believe in Jesus but do believe in Judaism, be a Jew. Like my Jewish friend said yesterday: "Jews for Jesus is an offensive statement and point of view."

Agree? Disagree? Why?

I dont understand why rational people use stereotypes to to judge the rest of the population. Why do athiest think that all Christians are bigots, Close-minded, self-righteuos people, judgmental people with no sense of science? Why do Christians think that all athiest are horrible, soul less, hopeless, spiritually blind people with absolutly no morals?

Christians, let me ask you a question, do you remember when you were lost? When you were dazed without a clue and you finally heard God calling back? Dont judge. dont condemn, for you were once lost too. Jesus Preached love and hope in things unseen, not condemnation or judgment. Are you content with just being a "christian", a "believer in Christ" or do you want to take that next step, being a follower a Jesus. Because Satan himself believes in Jesus and what he did. so will you be a follower? Will you help the lost and the needing? or will you pass by on the other side?

In my last question I asked of the plausibility of the "de-evolution" to exist. I was met by some differing thoughts concering this including much modern scientific thoughts.
Theoretically speaking if we use scientific thought to consider de-evolution does it not conflict with scientific evidence? The de-evoluton of man idea would suggest that as we gain more scientific, analytical process and increased dependence on technology we continue to errode a spiritual portion of ourselves. This spiritual portion would not need increases in physical only the smallest amounts of physical resources to maintain a phsical existance. Through time, we have desired more physical goods. This desire for tangiblility has slowly erroded our spiritual capacity. If a body is seperated into two parts (spiritual and physical) would it not make sense that when you give of one you take of another? If our spiritual capacity were to be say 90% what walls could hold that being? limitless possibilities emmerge.
