In my last question I asked of the plausibility of the "de-evolution" to exist. I was met by some differing thoughts concering this including much modern scientific thoughts.
Theoretically speaking if we use scientific thought to consider de-evolution does it not conflict with scientific evidence? The de-evoluton of man idea would suggest that as we gain more scientific, analytical process and increased dependence on technology we continue to errode a spiritual portion of ourselves. This spiritual portion would not need increases in physical only the smallest amounts of physical resources to maintain a phsical existance. Through time, we have desired more physical goods. This desire for tangiblility has slowly erroded our spiritual capacity. If a body is seperated into two parts (spiritual and physical) would it not make sense that when you give of one you take of another? If our spiritual capacity were to be say 90% what walls could hold that being? limitless possibilities emmerge.

I think you think too much. The spiritual portion of ourselves has no limits or walls, etc. I bet Jesus was 100% spiritual,100% man, and 100% God. Don't try to think about this one. Your brain could explode.lol !

De-evolution is a by-product of the erosion of spirutality and relgion and has nothing to do with the advacenment of science and technology, except that science and technology plays a part.

"We are so busy thinking about CAN WE DO IT, we never stopped to think about SHOULD WE DO IT!"

Can we build the A bomb.

Yes.

Now that we built it, should we use it?

The scientists said NO.

They wanted us to INVITE the Japaense to New Mexico for a demonstration and figured after they saw it, they'd surrender if we threatened to use it on them.

Truman saw how much money it took to make it and that it worked and that thousands of American boys were dying in the War with Japan and he said USE IT.

Religion, per se (remember, Oppenheimer, a Jewish descendant, was considered a Communist threat in later years and taken off the Hydrogen bomb project) had nothing to do with it.

The Pope and Billy Grahams fathers were not invited to New Mexcio to see the bomb an get their views on using it.

Science, however, made the foolish mistake of getting caught up in CAN WE DO IT and they never envished WILL WE USE IT, had they, they might have wondered SHOULD WE DO IT.

Soon we're liable to see Huxley's Brave New World.

Intellegent Design

Cloning, gene splicing, genome mapping, genome changes, grafting, test tube babies.

Delta Minus workers
Alpha Plus teachers

Science is so much in a rush to see CAN WE DO IT (create life) that they aren't giving much thought about WHAT WILL THE CORPROATE WORLD WANT TO DO WITH IT

Delta Minus gardeners?
Beta Plus cooks and nannys
Alpha Plus scientists!
Delta Minus atomic bomb assemblers
Delta Minus atomic waste handlers.

This is where the de-evolution of humanity comes into play.

Manufactured workers (slaves?)

We make a species to do our work so we can sit in the Churchs and Synnagogs all day and pray to God?

So everyone can stay home and watch Dr. Phil?

Religion is the conscience that is supposed to keep us from doing these things.

I wonder how many Christians will "own" Delta Minus workers in 500 years?

Not really an awnser or anything that helpfull at all but, I dont know if you believe in aliens or not, but i believe de-evolution was what occured to them. They are said to have weak skinny fragile bodys. They could not have survived in any type of society involving predators whatsoever with such pysical features. So oviously they had to start as some monkey like creature that could quite bluntly, beat the hell out of something. They then got a little smarter, Then went through the period of swords and arows and all that good crap. the bows and arrows led to guns. Which put them at the top of the food chain. With guns, They dident have to worry so much about survivol and just focused on other things. Which made them smart as hell. that led to them being souly dependent on technology and focused less on phiysical abilities and over time they got weak, Because there bodys over time and generations realized they didnt need the stuff. So as we get smarter and more tecnologicly dependent. we will more than likely become weak and frail like aliens....but since earth humans are such fat slobs, we will probaly, rather than being skinny humaniods, be some fat creature like jabba the hut.. but with legs. Just my opinion.

I don't agree with the current theory of evolution, and can't imagine a "de-evolution". I would be more inclined to believe that it was the apes that evolved from us, as they are more intelligent in that they don't go around killing one another for no good reason, they don't fight wars over religion, and the main reason that I believe that my theory is correct, and that they are more intelligent then us is I have never seen one posting a question on YH answers.

"In my last question I asked of the plausibility of the "de-evolution" to exist."

That already exists...it is called ENTROPY.

To answer this question...

It is exciting to think of those possibilities given that if we functioned at such a high spiritual capacity we would be as close to God as we could get.

You are assuming that when you give of one you take of another... that has never been proven... If that were true then evolution is false because that means that we haven't been around for much longer than about 10,000 years.

How you can equate evolution and spirituality in one idea is beyond me. One does NOT concern the other in the least bit.

don't you mean regression? I don't think you understand evolution.

There is no spirit. Your brain creates your thoughts. When you die, you are gone.
