I'm looking for a GOOD book for my boyfriend about evolutionary creation, or theistic evolution. This means one that talks about God creating through the process of evolution.

I am not asking whether you believe in one or the other, there have already been polls and questions like that. I've looked up a few online, but am interested in whether people have actually read or heard of books like this?

Remember... Evolutionary Creation... NOT Evolution VS Creation - I don't want a one sided book, or a debate. I already know that this is his position on the topic, and am looking for a book that would be interesting for him.

Thank you for your answers!! =0)

Thank you to those of you who are actually answering my question by giving me book ideas... I never asked for your opinion, or what anyone thought was "real evolution" (thanks anyway "free inquiry") I am looking into the titles though, thanks again! =0)

If you contact TAN Books & publishers , they have a few excellent books on this topic. They really do.

Also useful is a nice book put out by Jehovah's Witnesses, called

LIFE - HOW DID IT GET HERE - BY CREATION OR EVOLUTION?? I'm not a Witness but I agreed with this thesis in the book.

A good book about theistic evolution is a contradiction in terms. For the book about a scientific concept (or semi-scientific concept) to be considered 'good' it would need to be written by one or more credible experts in the relevant field. No such people would write a book about theistic evolution.

A book entitled Creation Science by Hugh Ross.
Pssst This is our secret that I recommended this book, right - since I am a young earth creationist.

Haven't really seen one. Most of the books either defend or attack evolution. The one below deals with the three different viewpoints. Good luck.

"Can a Darwinian be a Christian?: the relationship between science and religion" by Michael Ruse

It's not exactly about theistic evolution per se, but it does try to explain and discuss how Darwinian evolution can coexist, or even be compatible with Christianity (or theism in general).

Why don't you just buy him a book about *real* evolution? Plenty of good ones!

Darwin's origin of the Species. Catholics and Jews have no problems with it's content.

It's very dry reading, however.
