The realization that we are more than what we think is inherent in every culture. All of human kind trying to grasp the idea that there is something bigger than ourselves, reaching for an explanation for the mysteries that seem so large even questioning is sometimes reaching past comprehension. How is it then that all of man kind is bound by the concept of a creator? Is it all an illusion installed in our minds from fairy tales past down from generation to generation? Is it a lack confidence in mans ability to reason? I say that this idea is bigger than any question but as simple as saying the answer is the color blue or X marks the spot. The fact that we as a human race collectively find ourselves along this line of questioning, shows in its very nature that we all feel disconnected from something greater than this human experience. Whether the answer you find is there is nothing more than this life, or religion Y, or religion Z, the bottom line is that all of mankind searches for this unilateral longing of finding what we are disconnected from. I found my answer and truth in the Bible, from the fall of man, to the reconciliation of man with God through Jesus Christ; I have the evidence of myself being a skeptical hardened man, to a faithful kind caring loving man transformed by something that is greater than I. I can not describe things unseen, hence such is the evidence of faith, but I most pose this question to all. Why do we, as mankind, desire to find a connection to something that is more than ourselves past our circumstance and culture? Only real honest answers please. I am not seeking to do anything but see how people feel about this subject. For I know I am captivated by it.
