This is in response to an assertion that atheists believe in buidling hospitals. Maybe there is one, but I can think of many named after saints.

That make life worth living more and are unique to atheism.

This site doesn't really give atheism much credit to being content, so it seems. Maybe it's just a few people here that desire badly to be accepted by other atheists to tell them they are right. Not all act this way, but seen alot of it today. What's up?
Pros?Cons?
I did say unique, you better know your stuff. ;)

An atheist kept a caged bird. He was traveling to India, the bird’s homeland. He asked if he could bring anything back. The bird asked for its freedom. The atheist refused. So the bird asked the man to visit a jungle in India and announce his captivity to the free birds.

The man did this, but no sooner did he speak than a wild bird, like his own, fell from a tree. The atheist knew this was his bird’s relative. He felt sad. When he got home, the bird asked if he had good news. “No,” he said. “My news is bad. One of your relatives collapsed when I mentioned your captivity.”

When he spoke, the atheist’s bird collapsed and fell to the cage bottom. The news of his kinsman’s death killed him,” the man thought. Sadly, he picked up the bird and set it on the windowsill. At once, the bird revived and flew to a nearby tree. “Now you know, the bird said, “that what you thought was disaster was good news for me. Your words told me how to save myself.”

The bird flew away, free at last.

An Atheist believes that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said.
An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death.
He wants disease conquered, poverty vanished, war eliminated.

Since atheist believe there is no such thing as a God/gods, they must believe in them selves. With doing so, why do atheist think man is the superior of all things?!

The first secret to effective prayer is secret prayer. Jesus provided the ultimate example. Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Unlike the religious leaders of his day, Jesus did not pray to be seen by men. He prayed because he treasured fellowship with his Father. Hypocrites gain their reward through public prayer. They may be rewarded through public prayer. They may be perceived as spiritual giants, but by the time they are finished, they have received everything they will ever get- their prayer's worth and nothing more.
A further secret is to recognize the connection between prayer and meditation. Our prayers are only as inspired as our intake of Scripture. Scripture feeds meditation, and meditation gives food to our prayers. Meditating on Scripture allows us to more naturally transition into a marvelous time of meaningful prayer.
A final secret is to discover ur secret place, a place where you can drown out the static of the world and hear the voice of heavenly God.

How much can we be blamed for what happens. I am a Christian and I wrestle with this theory constantly. I beleive the God really has power over all, but I also beleive he has given us free will, but that free will can not super seed his own. So my question is where does the balance of power lay? With us or God? Obviously he is more powerful than us, but do we or don't we have control....?

God is supposed to be all good and all loving. I am not all good and loving and I would never EVER cast anyone, especially someone I loved, into a lake of fire to be burned for eternity. Nor would I bring a loved one into a world where they will be starved, beaten, raped, and murdered. There are children in africa starving to death yet will share their food with an orphaned child but since they were not raised christian they deserve to be burned for eternity. While a rapist murderer can "find god" on his death bed and live forever in heaven. Why would anyone create that?
