Interesting, and when you mention all the wonderful things you believe in , most of it falls under the same reasons us Christians believe in and do. First of all we pray for good deeds to be done and strive hard to do them. We value the Hospitals, naming Mercy Hospital and St Lukes Methodist Hospitals . They are all financed and supported by churches. So now we have both. Churches and Hospitals. Second of all, the Christians are involved with life. God gave us all life and we value that, but then we are prepared for death. Death is not the end. There is more to death then just having dirt thrown over us, or to be cremated. Life after Death. God and us Christians strive for the end of disease, conquer poverty and the end to wars. You describe totally the Christian way of thinking. You are a wonderful human being and I know for sure God Loves YOU. Take care and may God bless you and yours, Always.

That's the problem with Atheists, they always want but seldom do .The Christians and Jews have built the majority of ALL the hospitals not only in the U.S. but all over Africa. The programs that feed children...99% Christian(UNICEF is a freaking joke, feeds more communist armies than kids). They help unwed mothers ,have the best orphanages.
Yes ,an atheist WANTS,he wants tax payers to pay for it all.Big Daddy Govt ,the atheist God.

Trying to make a point? The worst place to preach this is in the Religion Section.

I'd say we use some other forum for posting Atheist questions, and we may discuss some ways to counter religious beliefs, but not here.

Those who see the light will follow suit. Don't make a religion out of Atheism.

O.K we keep church in hospitals. We pray and do good deeds. We live life to the fullest and avoid the sting of death. We believe by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, by Jesus poverty we are made rich, our fight is not against the flesh but principalities and powers in high places.

Send some food to a starving country = human intervention
Hunger has suddenly vanished all around the world overnight = miracle. I prefer seeing human intervention taking place than waiting on miracles to happen.

Christians desire the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus be spread throughout the whole world. Can't you see the world is lost without God; without salvation through Jesus Christ the world is lost. A Christian believes that prayer and faith brings miracles, healing, and deliverance. A Christian strives for involvement in a life of joy and peace in God to live NOT to die. We must all die physically but through Jesus Christ we gain eternal life. Christians desire diseases be conqured, poverty vanished, war eliminated, souls saved and people set free from the bondage of sin. So what ... ? What's your question?

Wow, Christians and atheists DO have something in common!
By the way, as far as the second one, Christians believe in prayer AND deeds.
