You can find out who God truly is instead of believing what "religion" has brainwashed people to believe he is.

God does not do these things.

As long as we stand on his promises - which are all through the word - listen to him - not the Doctors reports, nor the weather conditions, not the disasters around us........

PSALM 91.

Many people think that the answer to that question is yes. ‘If God cared,’ they reason, ‘would not the world be a very different place?’ We look around and see a world full of war, hatred, and misery. And as individuals, we get sick, we suffer, we lose loved ones in death. Thus, many say, ‘If God cared about us and our problems, would he not prevent such things from happening?’

Worse yet, religious teachers sometimes lead people to think that God is hardhearted. How so? When tragedy strikes, they say that it is God’s will. In effect, such teachers blame God for the bad things that happen. Is that the truth about God? What does the Bible really teach? James 1:13 answers: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. (Job 34:10-12) Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.

For example, think about a wise and loving father with a grown son who is still living at home with his parents. When the son becomes rebellious and decides to leave home, his father does not stop him. The son pursues a bad way of life and gets into trouble. Is the father the cause of his son’s problems? No. (Luke 15:11-13) Similarly, God has not stopped humans when they have chosen to pursue a bad course, but he is not the cause of the problems that have resulted. Surely, then, it would be unfair to blame God for all the troubles of mankind.

Why does God get blamed for all bad but when something good gets done,oh he is the last to get any credit...Lets see,,thier is evil and good in this world,we don't have the right to say what God does..Have you lived in this child shoes,no,what if this child does not see anything wrong with how he lives, what if he has adapted to live the only way he can,do we blame God then if the boy is happy...

In the Lord's prayer, we read Jesus' appeal to the Father to "lead us not into temptation". I imagine that along with diseases and crippled people, God is also the author of temptation, right?

god gives people gifts and challenges. granted, that crippling is not a gift, but a challenge. he may want them to learn from it. I know it sounds harsh and difficult. the crippling may end up being permanant but God has not left them. And he still loves them. They may be at a point in their lives where they need to call people for support, their role right now may be to be a model of strength for someone else. or a model for how to be weak and call upon his name. and he will give them strength. they need to pray and stay spirtually conencted and take life a minute at a time. connect to their church. because at the moment they are the ones in need. they can contribute to the church when they give back to the church when things get back on track. The most important thing is that they don't give up on God. because God isnt' through working miracles in their lives. He will be making them stronger spritually and emotionally if they rely on him. I am hoping physically but that may not be the case. but they need to stay in prayer.

God is not having fun. God places us in specific circumstances in which we are given the greatest potential to grow near to Him. If it is a state of physical or mental illness that causes us to sin less and have a better relationship with God than if we were without the illness, then God will permit this deficiency. God's main concern is not of material issues but that we are with Him. He loves us.

eshank forever,
Whether you are the crippled one or not, it's up to all of us to make a decision; to follow after God, or to not follow after Him. God, or anything else.

My back is terrible. But I turn to Him in faith. And the promise is, "With his stripes, I was healed."

Faith to Him. It's the way I chose to go.

God doesnt give disease or injury. God wants us to have free will, he doesnt force us to do anything nor does he prevent things from happening. He lets things take their course. How we chose to deal with our circumstances is our choice- we can choose to overcome them (which He wants to help us with) or to dwell on them... nothings perfect, but God never promised it would be and then again we (as sinners) dont deserve for it to be.

God does not cripple people, it is because of sin these things happen. On the other hand, the kid is happy why, because he/she is alive, ever notice that they are always elated, while we are always stressed, and we have all our bodily functions.

What religion are you targetting? I just don't get it, are you just wanting your ego stroked by other atheists that will see this and be like " Yeah, we got them this time, what a pal we have here"

Your not even trying to learn anything.
