He helped many black people and best of all because of martin luther king.........blacks r all treated right and so now blacks don't have to sit in the back and blacks don't have to drink from different water fountains and blacks don't have to go to different school from the white people.

Uhh the reason he actually left the church was because he seduced that nun who latter on became his wife he didnt agree with some teachings of the church and paying your way out of hell ... wt? it was giving money for those in purgatory not hell .. ye it was pretty stupid to pay for it but the church messed up anyways so it effected the church ... but the church gained thousands of new members in the americas who converted out of free will after the miracle of Guadalupe so it evened things out now you should ask the protestants how there constant splitting up making new demoniations is effecting them..

He was the first who PUBLICLY opposed some teachings of the Catholic Church, specifically the idea that one could pay their way out of hell with money to the Church. He posted his protests on a German Church door for all to read..it started the reformation movement and the birth of Protestant religions. And the first of the Protestant Churches was Lutheran...in his name. He was excommunicated shortly after the posting.

Uh let me see,oh yeah it split it in two,thus the Lutherans. It's only too bad that his actions didn't utterly destroy the catholic church,there are a lot of people who would have been better off.
