The word "Christian" means one who believes in Jesus, right? And the word "Muslim" means one who submits himself to god, right?

So, since both muslims and christians submit themselves themselves to god, and both of them believe in Jesus. Shouldn't Islam and Christianity just be considered to be two sects of the same religion? Well people, what do you think of my proposal?

Why do some preachers spend hours on television begging for money?

In order to sew a seed and receive blessing from God do you actually have to give money to the rich preachers, using hours of television time begging for money? I would rather give my money to the poor. Someone that needs it. Could you imagine me over here driving a 2000 neon, giving the preacher guy/lady with the cadillac escalade 20 dollars LOL. That would just be plain funny. Sometimes i turn the tv there thinking im gonna get to hear soemthing positive and most of the time i just find them asking/begging for money AND TRYING TO CONVINCE YOU TO SEW A SEED. Dr. Phil has more positive coming from his show then theirs. I know God likes to bless his people but you shouldnt have to beg for it for hours on tv. I refuse to give my 20 bucks to someone that drives a mercedes benz and has a 500 dollar suit on while im over here 40 dollars suits. I would rather go to the little church down the road and pay them my tithes. Anyways what do you think about this issue?

Or do you doubt the will of God? If it isn't his will, then he isn't perfect, nor omniscient as he would know when he created me that I would "choose" to be this way. Which is it?

I'm a catholic, and lately i've been praying to God and the virgin Mary to help me out with a situation i'm going through. He hasn't yet answered my prayers and I feel abandoned, I feel like God has left me. I find myself miserable and alone in this world, I always pray to God at night and try to go to church.Sometimes I feel that I question his existance because I feel he doesn't hear me. Why is he doing this and does he love me? Is this a punishment for my wrong doings? Will he ever reach out to me?

....you will surely be rewarded. Matthew 10:42 (NLT)

Are you available to God anytime?
Can he mess up your plands without you becoming resentful?

As a servant, you don't get to pick and choose when or where you will serve. Being a servant means giving up the right to control your schedule and allowing God to interrupt it whenever he needs to.
If you will remind yourself at the start of every day you are God's servant, interruptions won't frustrate you as much, because your agenda will be whatever God wants to bring into your life. Servants see interruptions as divine appointments for ministry and happy for the opportunity to practice serving.

I hear people often say the adventists are an outragous cult because they don't believe in what common folks call the soul, hell, heaven, and so on.

There is almost never a sign of love in here...I see a war here all the time...Whats wrong with you people? I mean, ok, atheists can be annoying coming here and attacking you. It is because many Christians go around condemning everybody to hell, and atheists try to fight back by insulting the whole Christian community. I know that most of you dont go around bashing people, but what is this? Really now, where is the love the bible teaches you? Did God ever ask you to be his "football" like supporters, supporting him no matter what the cost? Do you think that Jesus would like you going around calling those who accuse you, names and swear words? Do you think that Jesus would attack anyone for not believing in him? Cant you see that you miss the whole point here and that you follow a completely wrong (if not dark) path? Let people make bad comments...Embrace them, pray for them, forget what they say and forgive them. How hard is it? Is it too much for you? To actually do what God wants?

I personally find it enjoyable deprogramming Christians. Believe it or not it is possible. It takes a little time, but the rewards from knowing that you've enlightened someone are well worth the wait. Here's a list that I hope many of you Atheists can help me expand upon.

Method's for Deprogramming Christians:

1. Many Christians seem to fuel themselves by automated responses. The more you attack these responses, the more they realize their absurdities:

"Because God made it that way"
"God Loves unconditionally"
"I don't question it, the Bible said it, I saw it, end of story"
"God never puts you through anything you couldn't handle."
"Just read the Bible. You'll see for yourself."
“God works in mysterious ways”

here again i'm just curious so don't be rude. i've seen a lot of people dogging it as being silly or evil or fake, and i don't understand it. it's none of those things. no one takes kindly to their beliefs being openly mocked or insulted. there is as much validity to it as there is to other religions(although some of you think no religion is valid which is fine by me =]). people are so hateful and intolerant..
