Can "faith" effectively tell you how to wire a house or perform heart surgery? In any serious, practical endeavor, would you trust someone whose knowledge was not based on the best empirical observation and rational analysis? So why should religious truth be any different? Religious truth can also be subject to empirical observation and rational analysis. Why not have rational religion?

I grew up in a middle-American Christian home, and I only believed in angels and all that stuff because my parents said it was true and real. Now that I'm a little older and can freely think for myself, I have only doubt in the validity of EVERY religion ever thought up by any human. I'm not saying Jesus didn't exist, I just get concerned by parents who tell their children what is true when they don't know it for themselves. They may say they know it's real, but only because they "feel" it within them. Or they say that having a child makes you believe in God.

People cant differentiate between a christian,a faithful and a believer?The Bible said in Acts of the Apostles,that the disciples of Jesus Christ where called Christians because they were acting like Jesus Christ which means they were preaching the gospel,healing the sick and so on.But these days sinners and fornicators call themselves Christians.And even gays.can a sinner be a christian?

Why do they care so much about the christian faith. I'm sure not ALL do it so this is directed towards the ones that DO. Seems as though many atheists spout things from the Bible so they can argue christians. Well, why do they even care so much? Is it because they know deep down inside they want to be christian? Like, I would never read anything on the "church" of satan. I once saw the site out of curiosity and I felt sickened and it bothered me so much that I would never look again. If the atheists who read the Bible think it's so wrong, why do they continue to do so? I'm just asking here. Don't go all postal on me or anything.
