Jesus did not have an affair with Mary Magdalene, put The DaVinci Code down and pick up the Bible.

I don't think it was just an affair, in my opinion they were a serious couple.

Were they married? I have no idea, that is not known anymore (since Maria's evangelium was destroyed about 900 years ago, and up to now no copies have been found).

But that might not even be important, just a detail. Married or not, they were a couple. And I think Jeoshua loved her more than all his other buddies. (There was a quote like that somewhere)
Doesn't that sound like a husband, hanging out with his baseball friends, but then going home to his wife, because in the end he loves her more than baseball and his friends? Uhm, I hope you can follow my metapher?

The church tried a lot to destroy memory about her. As I said before, they even took her chapter out of the bible, and nowadays only those who study Theology are taught what was oiginally in the bible and what was taken out when and why.
Some of the texts are still available (as Apocryph), but unfortunately not all. Her testimony is lost, at least for now.

Maybe one day some archeologists will find hidden copies somewhere. Just like Gilgamesh, the oldest religious story ever written down by humans. The original tiles are destroyed, but some copies were made while the originals were still around, and fractures of those copies have been found about 150 years ago. By now it is almost decyphered, so now we know how people in Ur (Babylon) thougt and felt and lived and believed.

Maybe one day somebody will find Maria's evangelium and decypher it. But who knows, it will be most likely not in our lifetime...

I think it is such a shame that the church is trying to declare that a sin. The carpenter was a human male, and she was a human female, and both were adults, and I can't see what would have been wrong about their relationship.
Now, these evil churchmen raping children, THAT is evil! (I don't use the word sin, because that would be an insult to the victims).

Let's say He did. Why would it be a sin?? If they were twin flames, brought together by God, or rather Mother God/Holy Spirit in the beginning?..What God has brought together no man shall seperate, not the devil, no man.....If He did He did not make it a public affair (supposedly after ressurection as well and she also ascended...) and this is how it should be. Mary was supposed to be knowlegdeable in sacred sexuality...Sex is not a sin, sex without love is.. Let this be clear for married couples as well.. Having sex without being happy gives the dark side an in...

I do not wanna make statements about what He did or did not do and do not wish to offend anyone with above line of thought,,. Do wanna say that sexuality is not always sin and can even be worship/bring you closer to God..

He was free as we should be free if we are guided by the Holy Spirit instead of what we think is expected..Free of fear.. He is a taboo-breaker, you will find out when you meet Him..

I belive that Jesus had a personal relationship with Mary. As you proabley know a lot of the information in the Bible was edited by Pope Augustus because he felt it was inappropriate and did not further the Christian movement.

Anyone that had done thier reserach knows that at the time that Jesus was around thier were many stories of his relationship with Mary Magdelene.

No one can say for sure that Jesus did or did not have a relationship with Mary.

Knowledgeable people know that the Bible was changed many times before the official King James versions was accepted by the Catholic Church.

Did Jesus and Mary have a relationship I don;t know the bible is not in it's orginal form and because it was changed so many timees we will never know.

A) Jesus never had an "affair" with ANYONE!

B) Even the DaVinci Code garbage makes it seem as if He and Mary were secretly married. Otherwise, the kid would be illegitimate and how could she be the mother of a royal dynasty, then, HUH!?

C) But, yes, had He had an affair with her, it would be fornication and that IS a sin! Obviously, the Sinless One did not sin and therefore He had no affair with anyone! SHEESH!

Since this isn't a Biblical idea, but a possible historical one, it wouldn't be a "sin". History states that Mary M. and Jesus may have been lovers, or husband and wife. I was studying such years before "The Da Vinci Code" was released. No one knows for sure and everyone should do research on their own and come up with their own beliefs on the subject.

He was going through a rough period - Pharisees making fun of him, his mom scolding him at weddings, sub-standard living situation, too much time on the road, Beelzebub trying to bribe him, lines of lepers waiting to be cured, catering orders with only 5 fish & loaves for a whole crowd. Then there were these "followers" who didn't seem to have a clue. Under those conditions anyone might be forgiven for seeking solace. After all, he was human (for a while).

There is no proof that such an affair ever occurred. If you are using The Da Vinci code, a work of fiction, as a historically reliable source, then you are indeed gullible.

He did not have an any sexual relationship with anyone. Not even Mary Magdalene.
If you can give me the reference for where that is in the Bible I will be the first to eat my words.
Good luck.

There have been a long line of stories created about Jesus by those who were uncomfortable with his life and message. each of these have been easily defeated when compared with what is known about Jesus through eyewitness accounts both in and outside of the believing community.
