The Muslims where I lived thought nothing of going into a Hindu temple or of participating in Hindu weddings, funerals, etc. Maybe the local societal agreement about right and wrong is more powerful than silly religious rules??? In fact, the Muslims loved the Hindu plays, dances, skits based on Ramayana. Yes, indeed, there *are* open-minded friendly people everywhere.

That is not correct.
In India, Muslims and Hindus used to live peacefully for many years even when India was under Muslim Rule.

Even when Muslim ruler Aurangeb was killing Hindus if they did not take up ISLAM, there is no history that Hindus retaliated by killing innocient Muslims. They made Sikh to protect them self and defend againt only. They respected the religion.
This current hatered was created by Britishers who want to divide and rule, and then fanned by the politicians for their political motives.
There where even cases where they used to take part in each other festivals. Still this is seen in many places.

Now a days people are taught to fight each other instead of living in peace. Religious people think that if they teach their religion followers to hate other religion, then their people will stick to them.

But God does not like if that. Because every soul in this world are his children.

Well, although christians oppose idol worship, they still have statues of jesus in their churches, so i suppose the sight of idols isn't as offensive to them as it is to muslims. Worshipping idols is one of the two unforgivable sins in islam, so even being around them is uncomfortable for most muslims.

Christians know that idols are nothing more than chunks of wood or stone, and nothing to either respect or fear. Thus, there is nothing to stop them from entering a Hindu temple.

Just entering a building is not worshiping. If they partake in the services then they are going against their religion.
