Summer vacations occasionally dragged, even though they were fun, so wondered when a kid (raised Lutheran) if heaven would be boring after a few hundred thousand years. Eternity is a HECK of a long time!
No, I'm not being snarky, and don't want diatribes OR extensive comments from ANYBODY'S religious books about how lovely the afterlife will be, contemplating the Eternal. But I'm wondering---seriously---how WILL we cope with such huge timespans? Will the Eternal blank our memories periodically, so each "day" is new to us? Will there be chances to nap for a million years or so, or will we get chances to redo/relive new lives if desired, or what?
I'm interested in reading/getting all sorts of opinions, beliefs, wishes, and hopes here, from all religious/spiritual perspectives---but please, let's keep things reasonably civil, ok? Thanks!
