A step up??? My friend...nothing..absolutelty NOTHING can be worse then hell. Jesus Christ when talking about it said, "Where THEIR WORM dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

The Bible continually warns of a place called hell. There are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warns of hell. And over 70 of these references were uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ!

Please look at the link below for what I think may be a good description of hell.

If you are depressed, there is hope. (check the 2nd link)

If you are suicidal, there is hope...(check the 3rd link)

These are things I have written for those who felt there was no hope and many have found hope through the nailed scarred hands. You too can find this hope (check the 4th link)

I went through times like that when I was young. Sometimes things look so bleak that you can’t see any possibility of anything ever getting better. But things can get much better with time.
Realize there is absolutely nothing that you can’t take to God in prayer.
But it’s also good to find a counselor to talk with, who can help figure out how to deal with immediate problems.
And cry all that you need to.
Looking back, I’m so glad I didn’t give up on life before I even knew how many good things were out there. No matter what, don’t give in to the despair.
Never forget that God is with you no matter how rough things may be right now. If you let him, he will help guide you into better times.

Yes, but because I thought I was in hell. I wanted hell to end. I wanted my life to end. It was an extremely painful time, and it was long.

I hope that your question is just a question of curiosity and not something you would act on.

If dying is something you're considering, please don't. Listen to what people are saying here. See a doctor first. Stay in touch with family, friends, and even people here.

I care.

Thank God, no. I have gotten severely depressed before but God gave me the strength to pray and I have never gotten that low again and I pray that you do not either. Life can seem pretty bad at times but it can never get worse than an eternity in Hell. Jesus loves you.

There have been many times in my life that death seemed more attractive. Each time was followed, not always immediately, by a time in my life that I wouldn't change for the world. If you don't live through the worst, you won't fully appreciate the best. Good luck.

Die, yes, Hell no, because whatever you are going through, hell is worse. Please seek the help of a psychiatrist or a priest or pastor. Life is very very difficult at times but things do change..

Yea, I've been there. I did three things. 1) Prayed. 2) Got support from my friends and family. 3) Got 225 mg of Effexor XR a day.

There is plenty of hope for you, even when you can't see it. Promise!

I think many of us have felt that way. Perhaps some more than others. I offer this prayer for you and myself.

Dear Lord, you are our refuge in good and in bad times. In your infinite mercy, bring peace and comfort to those of us who face days sometimes filled with pain and depression. Help us to realize that through you, there is joy and the promise of lasting peace. Help us through the rough times. Walk before and beside us so that we may walk in your footsteps and reach out to you in our journey on this earth. Help us to focus on our blessings rather than our misfortunes, dear Lord. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. In Jesus' name Amen
