Christians aren't evil. Their church is. Examples: the Inquisition, the Crusades, the invasion of the Americas...
And more recently, the refusal to accept condoms which would save lots of lives from AIDS, the refusal to accept abortion, in some cases, which would save lots of lives from illegal abortions, or from malnutrition once the baby is born...

The respect that atheists might be evil, would be in the fact of no mental religious restraits, so you'll have people that are docile anyway, and killers with nothing holding them back(except mabye basic morals).
Christians however are evil on a much more frequent basis. They have often been taught to hate, and be cruel in the name of religion. So, instead, the church drives their malice against all competition against the church. Going down the street, you will see the mindless sheep, with a need to harm.

everyone has a choice of being evil or good and it all depends on the person. christians are evil because they have tried to force other people to believe in their religion and atheists are evil in their own ways im not sure which of the two has caused the most destruction but my guess are the christians.

This isn't an example of evilness, but I'm answering anyway:
Believe it or not, there is such a thing as a person who is just good, regardless of whether or not he/she believes in any higher power. They may be good by nature or good because of morality, which isn't always the same thing as religious beliefs but which is often yields similiar results.
It is impossible to judge either atheists or Christians by the group they belong to because evil exists in both groups.

Atheists are not evil but radical Christan's whom quote Scriptures and spend 24/7 watching the bible channel and doing the rosary twenty time a day are evil and brainwashed just like Charles Manson brainwashed his people. The bible was not God's idea.Neither God nor Jesus created the bible or wrote anything in it. It is basically written by radical holier than thou people whom want to dominate and scare people so the Christians can intimidate anyone they want.

The BTK killer is evil. Stalin and Hitler and Pol Pot were evil. People who hijack planes and fly them into buildings are evil. Those who perform torture are evil.
Those examples come from a variety of religious backgrounds. There is evil in all belief systems.

Atheist are not evil.
I say this as a Christian, you cannot judge someone as evil because they have not found enough reason to believe in God. Especially when I see so many Christians setting such a bad and hypocritical example before others.
Evil can be found even in someone calling themselves a Christian. It's what's in their hearts, and it is revealed in their lives.

By the standards of Christians and Muslims, yes, I'm evil. But by my standards I am not. I love sex, porn, booze, tobacco, and many other things deamed 'evil' by rediculous ascetic fools. I lie when I need to, I steal and cheat on occasions when it makes sense, and I'm a phony when it suits me.
In other words, I'm a human, and I don't feel bad about it. But I try to avoid harming those who don't have it coming.

ATHIEST? - EVIL ? - because they don't believe in GOD, they don't fear in God, they don't believe the existence of GOD and HIS WORD (the BIBLE)... Christians, A BIG BIG NOOOOOOO, they're not evil... they just let you know what evil is...
