Usually, repenting requires that you've done something majorly wrong, so if the sirens are wailing (but stop abruptly outside your house) you're in a position to repent.

Getting caught doing the nasty, dastardly thing that's wrong is also a big clue that repentance is close at hand. Once caught, a lot of people repent with the quickness, hoping to lighten the punishment or eliminate it altogether.

Now, to get to the main part of answering your question--

You KNOW you've fully repented when you get away with murder!

Have you made amends with the person whom you wronged?

Have you decided to change your ways?

Have you let God know about these things, with all sincerity in your heart?

Then yes.

Is your repentance accepted? You have no way of knowing...yet. Live a righteous life. Strive to be Godly. He promised to reward us.

Repentence requires change.

If you still commit the same old sins in the same old ways, you haven't truly repented.

You might be sorry for those sins, but that's only the half of it.

The Bible tells us to confess our sins (to one another)....whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven, whose sins you shall retain, they are retained....Jesus was speaking to his apostles when he said that. They were the first priests in the church.

We can only repent by feeling true sorrow for our sins, making amends and making effort to sin no more.

when you have no more desire to commit that sin. Usually it is in several stages. Sinning - Realizing you've sinned/ask forgiveness/ Struggling to sin and not sinning, but at war within yourself, and then to be free fromthe desire to sin any more.

I don't know if I'm right about this. But I think that's it.
