I have always been a southern baptist, but my husband thinks they are stuck up and a bit snobby and wants to try a wesleyan church. I just want to make sure I know what to expect. Thanks!

Do you believe in a diety/creator figure? Summarize why/why not in a reasonable format.

Not just "no, because i dont believe in santa claus either" or "yes, because i have faith and can just see it all around me"

those are cop out answers. really think about WHY


by the way, i asked this once before, and people seemed to think it was a homework question and ignored me. its not homework just because my questoin was written in a sensible format. I'm a married homemaker and not a student. So many people talk about their beliefs, I am just trying to get them to do more than just attack others blindly, but actually examine and share the reasons why they believe what they do

Catholics, why go to that shriveled up old priest and tell him your private sins. Why not come to someone exciting and interesting like me, a witch. Fess us here. Its easy, Its free. And further I will grant you sins forgiven like the Goddess Herself...much more fun that that crudy old bearded grey haired God. The Goddess is more modern, relevant and fun loving. (By the way, fun is not a sin it is a sacrament!)
Oh this is not just for Catholics...all religions and even aethiests welcome here!

Okay Okay Okay I get it ...you don't praise Muhammad you praise God ok ok ....so tell me what you think a Christain is??? Christains praise God TOO thank you very very much. Why do people bash mormonism have you ever considered that the true church is on the earth and that satan is trying as hard as he can to put out the gospel flame? "oh the cunning plan of the evil one oh the vainess and the frailties and the foolishness of men, oh when they are learned they think they are wise and they harken not unto the council of God for they set it aside supposing they know of themselve werefore wisdom is fullishness and it profit them not, but to be learned is good if they harken to the council of god" (2 Nephi 9:28-29) next time you think about bashing a mormon how about you look for yourself or maybe ask him, I'd think he'd know more than you!!!

The people of USA are famous for being the only industrialised country to have the same levels of superstition and mystical belief as those of Bangladesh.

On a typical day here at Yahoo Answers, people are writing in saying they believe in God, the day of judgment, Jesus, creationism, Allah, crop circles, the healing power of stones, naturopathy, angels, spirits, flying saucers, the ghost of dead Elvis and that the moon is made of magic jam.

So tell me, is there someone out there, heck even a whole group of you, that think Santa Claus is an alien sent by Jesus?

I have never had luck with finding a church I like. Every day I read the Bible. I listen to radio sermons every day and watch them on tv on the weekends. I feel like my relationship with God is a personal one and to be honest, I'm not too interested in having "fellowship" with many other people. I understand that we're supposed to attend service to deepen our knowledge and encourage one another about the Scipture, but I just am not that comfortable at church. So, do we have to physically attend church as Christians?
