jessica M: Don't you find it odd that you can only think of 2 examples and BOTH are in the bible?? We have had cameras for 150 years...why isn't their even ONE credible example of a healed amputee?

I know about sick in the spirit being cured and some physical ailment was proven to be cured because it is just a product of some psycological problem and not real sickness like cancer or amputees. Then, Mark 16- 24 was not included in the Ancient manuscript done by Mark. It was found later but since the style of writing is nearest to the style of Mark so, the church decided to include that in his book.
The book of James is merely an inspiration from the Book of Proverbs. Cure to the ailment are cause by extreme faith in oneself or God. Jesus never said in any of his healing works "Go now because I cured you already" instead, He always says "Go your faith has healed you" Like in our modern medicine, most treatment are effective if the patient firmly believes in his doctor and the medication he prescribes. But if you doubt your doctor and you do not follow his prescriptions, you will not get well.

The truth is in the book of Luke there was a man with a withered hand that Jesus restored on the Sabbath. This is only one example. There was also a man paralyzed who was lowered down to him through the roof. He too was healed. God has healed many amputees. The heart of every sinner has been replaced with a new heart upon acceptance of Jesus.

If a amputee is a saved person when he gets to heaven he or she will be perfect according to scripture, don't look for all healings here on earth, and God only heals according to His will not ours, if it isn't His will to heal us on this earth it's not going to happen. So not all prayers of faith are answered on this earth, and a person has to believe in God and accept Christ as their personal saviour for prayers to be heard, it is a hard thing to understand and to accept, but God tells us his thoughts are higher than our thoughts and his ways are higher than our ways, so not all blessings come to us in our earthly life.

gino_ggg,
He will. Are you stuck in the thinking that the promises have to be met here? Are you forgetting that the will of God reigns, He decides when to fulfill His promises?
You gave some verses, let me give you a couple:
Hebrews 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
He fulfills His promises. I can't explain how, but He does, and He did with me. There's no way I can be sitting here typing this out to you if it weren't for Him. I would have killed myself.

2 Corinthians 12:8 Three times I (Paul) pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
You can't force God to do something by taking only part of what he's said and misunderstanding the rest.
God does and will heal everything, but in his time, not ours. If he doesn't heal, he has a good reason for waiting.

He can.
Does he? Is Gods purpose to heal mankind only,
or to spiritually cleanse the man,
Infact Jesus himself said that it would be better to become an amputee........cut off your hand or eye godged out etc, if it will KEEP YOU FROM ENTERING INTO HEAVEN.!!
*i dont know if your a believer/follower or not, but bashing Jesus can be of no use or good. -LIVE4TRUTH =]

Jesus is not a liar. And He can heal amputees. Do we believe enough? You are already calling Him a liar.

Questions:
Why do you take things you don't understand out of context?
Who, specifically, were these promises made to and why? Find that out, and you'll have your answer.
