We know the Bible is inerant, sufficient and inspired by God. But, what kind of "facts/lies" have you heard about the Bible, that could make a new Christian or even you doubt? Anything goes...

I hear people spreading the idea that the Bible contains a lot of contradictions. EWvery list of contradictions I have ever seen only proved that the one who compiled (and the ones that blindly believe) these supposed contradictions, did not actually read the Bible- the scriptures were taken out of context of the chapter or book, the audience was not taken into account, the culture and language wre not taken into account.

This is why it is important that we , as Christians, study to show thyself approved, that we may be prepared to give an answer- I see so many Christians that don't have an answer for these accusations, what is worse though, is many that don't have an answer, intead of saying I don't know and then seeking to gain knowledge or find someone that does, they attempt to say something that sounds like a good answer and end up falling into the traps of foolishness set by the fools.

What the Bible teaches ,and what I have heard are 2 different things, I have heard people talk about a rapture, the Bible don`t say there is a rapture, It calls it [caught up] In the air, I have heard of a mansion In heaven, The Bible says, I go to prepare a place for you..So man puts their little sayings in there, I guess its like a parable, But anyways, we are all guilty of adding our little touch to words. I pray I haven`t hurt anyone with anything I have said.

I was once very interested in the relationship between the Mithra cult and early Christianity, as they have superficial similarities. The similarities were convincing enough to cause concern (in someone uneducated about the issue). I later found the similarities are not related and few, if any, scholars attribute Mithraism to any of Christianity's early practices.

This was not a "lie" I was told as much as something I read.

Who needs "lies?" Just wrap your theological arms around this doozy from my buddy, the prophet Isaiah:
"I create peace, and I create evil; I the LORD do all these things."
And spare me the "out of context nonsense." It stands by itself.

But if you really want to see the soft-shoe routines go into full swing, consider the following:

2 Chron. 36:9, "Jehoiachin was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem, and he did evil in the sight of the Lord."

2 Kings 24:8 "Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem."

Now, I know you're not going to tell me that 10=18. By the way, I'll save you the trouble of looking up the various laughable "interpretations" - they say it's a SMUDGE that got mistranslated!? Inerrant, but smudgy.

And that's just for starters!

Unlike the majority of theists, I try NOT to rely on hearsay. There are many inconsistancies I have PERSONALLY read within the alleged "words of god".

To date(and it's been a while)the only lies I have "heard" come from christian mouths as they try to justify that which cannot be justified - errors within the scriptures, the lie that evolution is a falsehood, earth is only 6000 years old, fossils were put there by satan, etc - whilst they absurdly assume that to tell a lie that may bring one closer to their idea of god nullifies that lie...hmmm....

If you have a problem with the Bible's message then so be it. Anything else is irrelevant, its not a history, geology, or astronomy book. Its value lies in its teaching and thats all you need to know.

James 5:15:
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.

As you know...this is a LIE.

god won't and will never heal an amputee. They can pray and pray. Every christian in town can pray....but an amputee will never be healed.

The Bible is inspired by God and proved by both science and history, and modern archeology, so nothing to doubt!
