If that is the case then why are there utterly loving, compassionate people, or even just when a mother tucks her childs hair behind her ear, or when people cry at a funeral. Their behavior is not based on survival is it? Conversely, when a sadists tortures his victims, he does not do so for survival but for pleasure? How do these "emotions" relate to microorganisms?

how much proof would it take to prove to a religious person that we infact evolved and were not created by god. i do not want scripture. i want to know what you think would prove to you that we did infact evolve and were not placed here by a god. what would it take to prove this point to you?

I'm an Aussie scientist and I've never encountered anything like all the stuff that comes from American Christian Fundamentalists on this site. So this is a question for you if you are one - do you really think geology / paleontology / biology / physics is one big con? If so, why? And how could it possibly be done? I guess I mean what is your understanding of how science is done?

It's an honest question and I'm mainly interested in the perspective of Christian Fundamentalists.

what did you think about it do you agree with what it portrayed about religious extremists, after all you all give opinions on religion so you must have been educated in the matter and read other books about it other than the bible.

oh and yes i am aware that the book is fictional but the message it gives is what interests me.

those alive at the time the bible was written could not see God and live cause men could only live arould 120 years at most. So to see Me they ie even Jesus would have had to live 1968 years.

try treating everyone nicely for a start.
it should be a human right to be respected.

and if LORD GOD TODD=TRUE when both sides are summed to one letter ie A the He says it is a human right to be respected.

also one tenet of the Muslim faith is God is kind of slim.

cause I AM=i am thus I AIVI stitched together=I AM and i am=iarri stitched together so M kind of is God.

There are skeptics (athiests) that like to knock religions. Others despise the word "psychic". They seem to find enjoyment at poking fun at people who say they've seen a ghost. And those skeptics seem set on showing you how foolish you are to believe in something.

Why do some skeptics seem so set on taking away the belief of others?

If not, doesn't that make you an agnostic regarding pixies, since you can't prove they don't exist? Isn't it improper to say "pixies don't exist", since you can't prove it?

There are people who say they've seen pixies, and feel the effects of pixies. Hundreds of books have been written about them documenting them.

Doesn't that shift the burdon of proof back to you since you are the one who says they don't exist in spite of this overwhelming evidence?

Do you also believe in Aliens, the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, etc??

Why or why not?

If you believe in one fantasy figure (God) then why shouldn't you believe in them all? Men wrote the Bible, and men have also been saying that strange things swim in Loch Ness (and other large lakes) for many hundreds or thousands of years.

Same for Bigfoot.

What's the difference?

Non religious are welcome to answer also.
