I suggest these people read some philosophy books. A lot of bright philosophers, who were atheists, wrote seminal works on morality, and were highly moral themselves

I have had several people tellme that Christians are allowed are kill in self-defense or in the name of a rightious cause, yet how can this be? Jesus always said to turn the other cheek, and when he was arrested Peter tried to defend him with a weapon but Jesus said “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword.” (Matthew 26:52). How can you advocate violence when Jesus was clearly against it? Shouldn't you emulate the actions of Christ?

There may be something up with this years Jewish New Year.

New Moon 22. Also that the moon is the furthest away from Earth for the year.

Feast of the Trumpets 23

Sabbath 22 (Hebrew at sunset) or 23

Autumn Equinox 22 (in most of America 12:03 am New York) 23 in Jerusalem

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
"knoweth" is a completed past tense verb in Matthew 24:36.
Strong's number G1492

I can't say that I KNOW that the Rapture is going to happen this coming Sabbath, but this is very different this year. Remember to keep you eyes on Jesus Christ. Stay in faith! Look to Him!

From what i've seen so far the answer is a resounding NO! Here's an example of a question asked earlier that illustrates this:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060919235713AAHNwgE
I too have asked questions that require one to step outside of what they believe to be true to make a point... So far, most of the Christian answers i get make it evident that they don't understand what a hyphothetical situation is.

Your thoughts? Why do you think this is?

....then why didn't He set some sort of organization to interpret all of His different teachings for all of His followers? He must have known not everyone would agree on all the Scriptures, right? Or even which books/letters should be Scripture? And He maintained that "every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined (Mt 12:25). So, surely He was looking out for His kingdom here on Earth, right? He wouldn't have left us hanging, would He have?

I am going to college next year and am wondering about housing. I am considering joining a fraternity but my dad is concerned that fraternities are hedonistic and lead people away from Christ. Is that true?

And if He is perfect, how did he create?

Something perfect just is and complete in itself. It doesn't want anything, need anything or do anything, it only exists.

So if god does exist, surely he must be imperfect.

GG creationists?

Or just another red herring that our playful Christian God has tossed our way (He does, after all, work in mysterious ways)?

Christians Muslims and Jews have chosen to worship a God that protects them from their tremendous amount of worldly abuse-They believe that the goodness in their lives was bestowed upon them by their commitment and belief and celebrate this with their fellow followers-all the while blaing the suffering and carnage and despair that is ever prevailent and evident in the media here. What good does it do for a man to gain the whole world and to lose his own soul? I'll tell you-we keep the generations of intelligence alive thriving and content to know that they were brought into this world by the love of two and not one GOD who would force them to believe or perish in HELL FIRE! Unfortunately the stupidity of this belief allows them the belief that they can drive their cars and abuse the resources that are here now-rather than conserve for the future as they have a better place to go after the die here-What a sickening philosophy that it has caused Mother Earth to become so feverish!

1400 years ago Allah and Jesus had a competition to prove who the real god is, Allah went first and held Jesus by one hand and flung him around the world, within minutes, Jesus was back. Then it was Jesus's turn, he flick Allah with his little finger and up till today, Muslims all over the world use loud speakers to call him 5 times a day, 'Allah ho Acabar', they still can't find him.

Belief correctly defined is the acceptance as truth/reality things which defy/lack logical/factual evidence, proof or support.

I find this rational decision to not jump to conclusions is by no means a belief. Apperently it makes them feel better to think they have all the answers, regardless if their wrong.

I fully support volition/free will there is no intent to sway your decision i merely seek an understanding as to why someone would choose this alleged irrationality.
