Christians Muslims and Jews have chosen to worship a God that protects them from their tremendous amount of worldly abuse-They believe that the goodness in their lives was bestowed upon them by their commitment and belief and celebrate this with their fellow followers-all the while blaing the suffering and carnage and despair that is ever prevailent and evident in the media here. What good does it do for a man to gain the whole world and to lose his own soul? I'll tell you-we keep the generations of intelligence alive thriving and content to know that they were brought into this world by the love of two and not one GOD who would force them to believe or perish in HELL FIRE! Unfortunately the stupidity of this belief allows them the belief that they can drive their cars and abuse the resources that are here now-rather than conserve for the future as they have a better place to go after the die here-What a sickening philosophy that it has caused Mother Earth to become so feverish!

I love Mother Earth, she is a Mother and a God to me. She created all of us, why abuse her? It's just not right.

Again you make assumptions about all religious people. You make no allowances for individuals which if it were about race - would make you a racist.
Not all religious people drive cars, not all Christian people are anti-conservation. Where on earth do you get your facts? Do you base them on the eclectic group of people here?
Yahoo Answers isn't a real big world, the sampling here is hardly indicative of the entire world....and btw, are you using electricity to run your computer? Shouldn't you conserve that energy for something important.
Practice what you preach, park your car, turn off your computer and get out that bike and gather aluminum cans - oh --you--say you already do that? Well how could I know, afterall we don't really know what people do here on Yahoo do we?--we just make assumptions.

You can love "Mother Earth," but terra firma doesn't love you back. You are loving material, matter.
God doesn't protect me from worldly abuse. God promises to save me from sin. An important difference.
As for "what good does it do for a man to gain the whole world and to lose his own soul?", what good does it do a man to love earth but to lose his own soul because he won't ask God for salvation? That is, what good does it do for a man to put dirt before the divine?
Do you have a car? That is, are you part of your problem or part of your solution? Just curious.
