And if He is perfect, how did he create?

Something perfect just is and complete in itself. It doesn't want anything, need anything or do anything, it only exists.

So if god does exist, surely he must be imperfect.

Clearly "god" is a lie, infact if he is anything he is the Ultimate Deceiver/Destroyer.

If you seek evidence there is plenty, just ask.

In order for there to be imperfection there has to be perfection. The very nature of the word requires perfection in fact. If there is indeed a god I would imagine he would be perfect but then if he created us in his image as the bible says then we would all be perfect and that obviously ain't true.

On the other hand if there has to be perfection for imperfection to exist it would have to be god that is perfect coz how could an imperfect being create a perfect one? it's imposable.

And that's where I shall stop before every ones brains melt.

good question, have you heard of the analogy of attribution? Its when you create something your attributes are passed down through it (ie in a painting) . Also, have you heard of thomas aquinas, he had a theory that god was so perfect that if we spoke about him we are so insignificant it would not do any justice to what god is and therefore would be a sin, we can only therefore say what god isnt and not what he is, i am pretty sure this is where the word Yahweh comes from as they were the opposite letters of the hebrew word for god but dont quote me on that its a long time since i studied it at school so its most likely wrong, interesting though.

He is perfect and without sin. God created the world to be perfect but he gave man and woman free will and eve willfully sinned against God and that is how it all got started.Satan, the great deceiver willfully rebelled against God and he along with a third of the angels were cast out of heaven. The world will be perfect again after the rapture of the church, the seven year tribulation, the thousand year rain of Christ and then finally Satan, his demons and all lost people in hell will be cast into the lake of fire for eternaty and the world will be perfect.

If God exists then God cannot be anything other than perfect. As to the explanations of Creation, that is something mortal man is unable to comperehend. We cannot know the true nature of God on the physical plane.

I think that in order for something to be perfect it must also be imperfect, a yin/yang sort of thing.

Who is to says that something perfect doesn't want or need? Are you asking if God exists to exists?

Who said God has a penis?

Perfect isn't necessarilty the same as static.

It's extremely difficult to get the human mind (mine, at least) around the idea of perfection, especially as it must exist outside of the limits of time and space.

Although, being complete in and of Himself, God doesn't NEED anything, that's not the same as saying that He doesn't want or desire anything. Seems to me (and we're dealing with philosophy here, not religion per se) that a perfect being might desire to create, especially if that creation were to result in other beings who could share in, appreciate and enjoy His perfection. I would be surprised if there were not multiple creations (universes) exploring the infinite(?) possibilities for producing such beings.

That is an excellent question and I hope you get a good answer.

Since I'm not Christian, and I think the idea of monotheism is rather a stupid one(My Gods are imperfect, according to this definition, but perfect in the sense that all are perfect to their purpose), I'm going to refrain from saying much more and just wave my pom poms while I wait for a good answer.

GOD is perfect, and if the perfect doesn't do anything than he's not perfect.
Surely you have a problem in understanding the word "perfection", and it's illogical that you are relating GOD's existence with GOD's perfection.
GOD exists whether you believe in that or not.
GOD is the creator of everything including you, if you don't believe in GOD's existence then you don't believe in your existence.
Some of the people who don't believe in GOD's existence tell me that they believe in matter and Science, to these people I ask this question.
WHO CREATED MATTER AND SCIENCE?
WHAT MAKES YOUR BODY ALIVE?
WHY SOMETIMES PEOPLE DIE ( WHILE THEIR BODIES ARE HEALTHY)?

FEAR GOD before it's too late.

Sincerely
Mike

First of all, I am a non-believer in God, to be honest with you. However, in my opinion, if he did exist, in my opijnion, then the answer to your question is no, and it's for the following reason:-There is a lot of death and destruction throughout the world, and if he were perfect then he would never allow man to create such rotton acts.
