but just post Quaran scritures. Is this some kind of hidden message being sent to others around the country? Often I read "what is your point"as the answer? But the poster never responds.

For christians and muslims. What makes the muslim god better than the christian god (or vice versa). Answers this in regards to all the fighting and name calling you people like to do in this forum. How has your religion made you a kinder more accepting person, once again in regard to the fighting and name calling against each other and athesist?

In the bible Genesis 19:4-5 it states But before they lay down the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
And the called unto Lot and said unto him, Where are the MEN which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us us, that we may know them.
The problem with these texts are the translation into the english text. In the hebrew bible the word man which is capitalized, was not used. Instead the words enoshe were used. Enoshe means mortal. It did not give the people a specific gender so the sin was not homosexuality but it was more along with rape, greed, and their sadistic behavior.

christians are trying to change this country for the worse,they helped vote in this asshole prez we have,they lobby to change america to their liking,they are a serios threat to this country and the people who live here and want to be free,am i the only one who sees this as terrist threat to this nation,at least the jihad muslims have to guts to come out and say they hate america,these right wing christians are a bigger threat to the american dream than any religion,they never agree with anyone who does not belive,they want to "save" everyone,and they realy dont understand god or his words,they twist the bible around and make people think that you have to belive in god or else,god does not care if you belive in him or not,hes all mighty remember,and alot of christians WILL be going to hell they are just to blind to realise it......the devil has come into their lives looking like a sheep.

If someone is a good person out of fear of discipline, doesn't that mean that they are acting selfish? You are only doing something because you are scared of what the consequences are if you do otherwise.

Personally I find that if - for example - an atheist is a good person, they are a better person than a Christian SIMPLY because most Christians have said they are good so they can meet God and go to Heaven.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of being a good Christian? Sounds like you are being good for the reward…

OK, I'm not asking this to offend or glibly throw these comparisons around as people tend to do, I'm making a serious point:
There was a leader of a country. This leader had absolute power in his country. In one medium sized-city in his land, 200 men offended the leader. After thinking about an appropriate response, the leader had the city destroyed along with every man, woman, and child in it by dropping fire-bombs from the sky.
Who was this leader?
A) Saddam Hussein
B) Adolf Hitler
C) God
D) All of the above
(Hitler may not be a perfect comparison, but look at how many men, women, and children he slaughtered in his own country, and please give me a little lee-way)
Think about this and perhaps explain why, even if it is D, this act is irrelevant to god being all-good with not one drop of evil in him. BTW, I personally define evil as an egotism so strong that one doesn't care who is hurt or how badly in the pursuit of one's own goals.
