Money's a weird subject...

You need it to survive in this world; and more money will allow you to buy more things.

But, are the rich really happier than less wealthy people? I don't think so.

Being poor has a lot of complications; but, so does being rich...

I guess happiness is found within the individual. An intrinsically happy person will be happy whether he/she is rich or poor. Also, no amount of money will make an unhappy one happy...

No money does not make people happier. Happiness is found in Jesus. Poor and rich alike can find Jesus. If one has a personal relationship with Jesus and has the right attitude toward money then money can definitely make your life more enjoyable and also make the lives of those whom you help with the money more enjoyable. The road is littered with examples of those who were not rich but were happy suddenly becoming rich. Their lives spiraled out of control because of a problem with their attitude towards money. So if you have a desire to become rich make sure it is with the right motivation. To help and serve others as you enjoy God's blessing.

It's something everyone would like to say no to, but really, in all honesty, we know that having some degree of financial cushion makes our lives more comfortable. That being said, I haven't seen that large amounts of money do not make people happier at all.

No, money makes things easier. People will always have problems and obstacles to bring them down, it is how those obstacles and problems are addressed and over come that dictates if a person is happy or not. People who have money, just don't have money problems, they still have all kinds of other problems and usually don't deal with them too well...

No...people make people happy. If a person has little sense without money then giving them money is not going to give them sense.

Lottery winners...get divorced, bankrupted and are depressed...

Living right and doing right will make a person happy. Do you know why Bill Gates is a great man....with all his money he is happy because he works to help his fellow mankind with his money....

Not money in and of itself; but money can provide the resources, flexibility and ease (what would otherwise be debt situations) and allow people to live happier lives.

To me it really depends on the lifestyle that you're accustomed to. With me, money wouldn't change my personality. I mean I wouldn't forget about my real friends and associates just to go hang out with a bunch of snobs. Having a huge amount of money would just make me closer to the people I love.

I would also give a portion to charity.

I am a born again Christian and money never made me happy. fast cars, fast women, nothing made me happy until I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior. Now, I put God first and tithe on all the money I make and money does help because we must pay our bills. The love of money is the root of all evil, its not the money. Always put Christ first.
