I think heaven is a beautiful place where you only have to dust the furniture maybe once every three months, because the principles of entropy and decay that we have here on earth are almost non-existent there. I think you get to keep learning and growing as if you were still going to school, and you can keep working, only I think there is only a three or four-day work week, so you have a lot more time to work on talents and creativity and spending time with family. I think buildings are bigger, more spacious, and cleaner, and chocolate exists without calories, and food tastes better, and people's hair doesn't go gray. I think children are safe, and TV shows and movies are clean, and people don't have to lock their doors at night. You still have all kinds of beautiful things in nature, but there isn't the violent side of all of it.
On the flip side, I think hell is a place of darkness. Not so dark that you can't see what's going on, but it's still on the dark side. The evil spirits that live there are not particularly attached to anyone, so they keep trying to have meaningful friendships, but loyalty and kindness are considered shallow concepts, as love doesn't really exist there. People are selfish, and they are unable to travel very far in the universe. They are told what to do with their time by Satan and his "managers" so to speak. Free agency is limited, and people spend a lot of time trying to satisfy themselves with violent or provocative entertainment and making fun of others in a very mean-spirited way.
As a Mormon I think there is yet another realm that you have not mentioned, and that is the spirit world, which is divided into paradise and spirit prison. Neither of these is considered heaven or hell, but more of an in-between state. It's not the same as the Catholic concept of Purgatory, rather, it is a place where the spirits of those who have died are living in preparation for the Second Coming, Resurrection, and Final Judgment. Spirit prison has different levels, and I would imagine it is not much like prison we have here on earth. Rather, there are limitations on traveling and creative growth until some people are through learning and repenting. I would think there is a very low level of the spirit prison reserved for those who just have no desire to repent of what they have done while living on the earth. I would hope that is a tiny minority, but that's open for speculation at this time. Guess we'll learn more after the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Thank you for asking this question. I send you a gummy bear.

I think that God created this world to be a sorta heaven till sin came in.It says in the bible that the grapes were so big in that day in Genesis, It was to be a paradise no killing no crying no pain,no death,no hurt,I think heaven is going to be such a wonder full place and our mind's can not comprehend it. Hell i think is going to be a place where everything that we idolize here on earth cars, women, men, money, drugs, beer, etc that kept us hanging on to it and not turning to God,In other words anything we could not give up to serve him will be our torment in hell,We will see it all the time and want it then but will not be able to have it,I think in hell you will see heaven and hell will also be eternity without God to me that is the only hell.

I think that heaven is a place to meet up with all the loved ones you have lost over your life. I have heard somewhere that hell is your worst ever fear magnified ten times. Both the descriptions of heaven and hell are different for different people. This is just my opinion :)

This is the the sort of question for a full scale debate not a short answer.
They may not even exist. Im a Christian but ive grown increasingly sceptical recently (im 15) as our religion and philosophy classes at school do really question your beliefs. The bible for instance, seems to have been written mainly by very sexist males (there are hardly any women mentioned in comparison to hundreds of men, in fact eve is the only woman mentioned for a large chunk of genesis).
Obviously if you overlook the obvious plot holes (god is all seeing and all knowing yet he didnt know Eve was going to take the forbidden fruit???) it is still a fairly good moral code to live by. I guess im just at that stage of life where im making key decisions but to be honest i think a lot of Christians are only Christians because they are terrified of going to hell.
I realise i havent answered you question directly but i hope ive made you consider what you believe, and why you believe it.

Dear,
When every thingh is going on according to your wishes and choices and you are enjoying, this being the state of Heaven in your mind. And when every thing is going against you and troubles, misseries, accidents, misfortunes are there over your head, you are supposed be in Hell.
When you are doing good for others, helping the weaker, assisting the needy....you are creating a chance to go to heaven. And when you are killing other innocents, terrorise others, snatching valuables from others, hurting the hearts of others, doing unnatural things, showing your power for nothing .....then you are making a road, straight going to Hell.
Perhaps, these are enough words to explain the existance of Hell and Heaven.
NOW THIS IS UP TO YOU TO CHOOSE ANY ONE OF THEM.
Yours well wisher,

I think they look as opposite as any two things can be. All the fire, pain and torment in hell is contrasted by the glory, jubilation and freedom of Heaven. Arriving in heaven will be better than any Christmas day you've ever had, and it happens everyday!
