God is just simply STUPID-He is so powerful and full of glory and himself that he created me! He shouldn't have-I was happy enough not knowing his love not knowing his mercy not knowing his war with Satan-I did not want to be created did not ask to be created did not try to create myself-and yet because HE CREATED ME AND I DESPISE him for doing so I am now going to spend eternity in HELL-I DO SO gladly because as you simpleton Christians Muslims and Jews or whatever religion you choose-believe in this entity that has blessed you so tremendously-I see your FELLOW man suffereing at the hands of MISERY-Agony-Doubt-and Carnage. YOUR God not mine DEMENDS of you respect and servitude-so go to him NOW-TAKE THESE BELIEVERS NOW OH GREAT ONE-I would rather suffer in hell and burn than to wait for the love I yearn-for you created me below you-made me lesser than you to have me betow upon you my intelligence and praise-what a worthless abberration God is to have to create beings lesser than him!

Can you lose your virginity if your boyfriend "fingers" you? But you don't have sex, but you're sore after messing around anyway?

An agnostic just posted about how this was the best argument for Christianity he's ever heard of.

He pointed out how the disciples of Jesus were willing to give up everything they had in order to spread the message and truth they had witnessed. Most of them even eventually died for it.

He then rebuked it by saying many people die for their religion. But I think there is a key difference in this case. The disciples had NOTHING to gain from their sacrifice. Christ had already saved them and so it wasn't necessary for them to get into Heaven, there is no extra reward for the evangelicist, they definitely didn't live in wealth as they spent a lot of time in prison, and yet they were willing to die to proclaim the truth.

My question to you is why would anyone do this if they made it up?

I f the pope is harmed (god forbid) in any way it would bring even closer the prophecy of the end of the world as predicted St. Malachy was said to have had a vision during a trip to Rome around 1139 of the remaining 112 Popes. The new pope would be number 111 on that list, and is described in a text attributed to St. Malachy as the "Glory of the Olive".
But Malachy-watchers point to the choice of the name Benedict--an allusion to the Order of Saint Benedict, a branch of which is known as the Olivetans.
Benedict said that he chose the name partly in honour of Pope Benedict XV (1914-1922), calling him a "courageous prophet of peace".Benedict dedicated his papacy to "the service of reconciliation and harmony between peoples".Believers point out similarities between the prophecy's descriptions and past pontificates. Pope John Paul II, number 110, was described in the prophecy as "de labore solis"--or "of the labour of the sun".
He was born on May 18, 1920, the same day as a solar

Shiite militias are encouraging children _ some as young as 6 or 7 _ to hurl stones and gasoline bombs at U.S. convoys, hoping to lure American troops into ambushes or provoke them into shooting back, U.S. soldiers say.
Gangs of up to 100 children assemble in Sadr City, stronghold of radical anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and his Mahdi Army militia, and in nearby neighborhoods, U.S. officers said in interviews this week.

American soldiers have seen young men, their faces covered by bandanas, talking with the children before the rock-throwing attacks begin _ and sometimes handing out slingshots so the volleys will be more accurate, the troops said.

"It's like a militia operation. They'll mass rocks on the last or second-to-last vehicle" in a U.S. patrol, said Capt. Chris L'Heureux, 30, of Woonsocket, R.I. "There's no doubt in my mind that they're utilizing these kids

This plan is inevitably how all things will come about. (good or bad) If this is the case hasn't "God" already "planned" every abortion that occurs thereby making "sinners" of every person who is merely following "his" will?

No need to beat me up over this, just seeking opinion.

I went to the web site that was offered in my previous question. Thank you for the info. I am curious what doctrine (for lack of better words) do you base your morals and beliefs from? How do you judge the difference between right and wrong?? I ask this because Christians beliefs of right and wrong come from the Bible. But, if you do not believe the Bible, then what source do you use?? Outside of the fact that you believe the fsm created the world, what else do you believe the fsm has done for the world that would cause you to follow it?? These are questions that I could not find the answer to in the posting. I may have not looked in the right places though.
PLEASE NO BASHING OF OTHERS FOR THEIR BELIEFS OR RELIGION... Just the facts will suffice. Thank you.

I am a Christian and I have a friend who is Agnostic. We enjoy having discussions about what we believe. Recently he told me that I gave him one of the best arguments he had ever heard in favor of Christianity. (This did not convert him, but it was a compliment to me. LOL!)
So, out of curiosity, I would like to know from the Agnostics out there, what are the best or most logical arguments you have heard in favor of Christianity?
Also, I read online that Christians who use logic to argue for our cause are called Apologetics. Is this correct?

I have been raised with Christian beliefs my whole life but I always question things and piss people off. I have studied a lot into different religions and philosophies. My heart and my mind are leaning towards Buddhism but I just can't seem to shake off the way I was raised. Any advice?

Tell me how are YOU showing respect to God, when you will not even admit that Mr smith was wrong

"God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345

"The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's" (Doctrine and Covenants 130:22. Compare with Alma 18:26-27; 22:9-10)

God has always been God (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 57:15)
God is a spirit without flesh and bones (John 4:24; Luke 24:39)

Tell me how are YOU honoring GOD by following a false prophet. and preaching LIES.

Tell me How are YOU honoring Jesus by this

Mormon
Jesus is the literal spirit-brother of Lucifer, a creation. (Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15)

Even if you do not teaching these it would seem that you have false prophets among you

My class valedictorian is so incredibly smart and talented!!!! I heard a rumor that she isn't going to college because her mom won't let her.. it's part of their religion; they are jehovah's witnesses. What does college have to do with that? She's incredibly talented.. why should she be held back from achieving more?

I just don't get it I guess...

Answers from people who actually know what they're talking about please...
