It's true that Atheist's don't believe that there is no God except that They also believe that Man is God of his own destiny. So Ultimately, Atheists believe to each his/her own person is God. This is related to the New Age belief of Man is. However; Atheist belief unified perfectly is debatable, most atheists are subverting an entity of God or Deity over man, they also are aware that the world is full of a variety of other God's, subjecting a wide variety of opinions to Godhood.

Since you ask, atheists make up less of the population than homosexuals (to some extent the two populations overlap) as you will see if you go to the link below. 16% of the world population makes up those who don't identify with a religion. Half of those are theistic, they just are not "religous" and don't identify with a major religion or do not disclose their affiliation. Of the remainder (8%), atheists only make up a fraction. There are also the secular humanists, agnostics, etc., in that 8%. Majority? I think not.

Atheists are idiots. If God does not exist, why do they spend so much time and energy worrying about & asking questions about Him?

Anyway, your question proves you're an idiot. All Christians believe God exists and all people who believe in any God believe that God exists, so those who believe overwhelmingly outnumber atheists when you measure the answer to "do you believe in God or not". You committed a typical logic mistake in asking your question - essentially you compared apples to oranges.

Your deliberate action is typical of the American left - they never play fair. It's sad, really. That's why they keep losing.

Personally I like my buddy's characterization of those who practice religion as having an "imaginary friend". That was GREAT! Of course, He's not imaginary to those who believe, only those who do not.

I can relate to where he's coming from. After all, I don't believe in UFOs, bigfeet, crop circles (as being made by some strange being or force), the Bermuda Triangle, 9/11 conspiracies and idiots who claim Bush stole any elections or either Cheney or Rove are some sort of evil puppetmasters pulling Bush's strings.

The left wants to impeach Bush - if they do Cheney becomes president. How funny would THAT be? Their worst fears realized, all because of what they did!

As for atheists - like I say, for someone who doesn't believe in God they sure spend a lot of time worrying about Him! As you seem to... if He doesn't exist, why did you ask this question?

Philosophy is going to the Philosophy section! I see the way you detect this religiously/spiritually linked, whether it remains much extra for the Philosophy section! sure, we are arguing distinctive ideas many of the time, theism is on their being a literal deity, nevertheless we atheists quite often have a tendency to view that if their is a god, that's a rigidity of nature, or ourselves! word: there's a distinction between God and god, God refers back to the Hebrew, Jehovah/God, have been as god refers to any and or all gods!

Atheists only agree on the lack of God. They have different beliefs about the origen of the universe and life on Earth, but at least they're willing to let Science answer those questions.

Considering that there are over 4 billion 'theists', and that it is unlikely that you have polled them all, I think your assertions that "... No two theists have the same concept of God" is untenable.... which means that any follow-on assertion about 'majority' is also untenable. Moreover, atheism is not a 'belief'... although it is certainly the 'rational' position.

The folly in your question is that you assume that all atheist agree on everything. They one question they all agree on is the exact same question that all the theists agree on, so no atheism is still very much a minority.

No two atheists can agree on what defines them. You don't know whether you are a religion or not. Some of you say that you are spiritual to justify ur existence in this forum which is ridiculous. You can't prove that God doesn't exist so you try and use darwinism false theories to justify ur label and excuse to not seek God. How sad!

The only thing all atheists truly agree on is that there is no god.

The question you ask is one I have pondered this weekend, and am forced to agree, that the Atheist view is one that we all are in agreement on. No two Atheists disagree on wether or not God is in existence.

Unbelievers are the best.

A few hours ago, I was asking advice to a friend of mine who is a kind of christiano-buddhist believer.

And she tried to convince me that the only solution is to convert to her beliefs. Gosh...

I am an unbeliever and even during the worst personal situations, I won't ever convert to any kind of religious & spiritual beliefs.
